In 2023 , Phu Yen Power Transmission focused on practicing thrift and fighting waste in all aspects of the unit 's operations . Along with that , digital transformation was also promoted by Phu Yen Power Transmission to help improve the efficiency of management and operation of the transmission grid .

Application of transmission grid operation technology

At the Tuy Hoa 220kV transformer station managed by Phu Yen Power Transmission, the Tuy Hoa Mobile Operation Team is applying the transformer station management system using smart devices to periodically check equipment and use electronic operation logs on the PMIS system.

Mr. Nguyen Van Luan, Head of Tuy Hoa Mobile Operation Team, said: Updating equipment inspection data into the Istation general management system and electronic operation books has completely eliminated paper books, saving costs, storage space, optimizing interaction between operators, direct inspectors and technical management departments, improving the quality of equipment inspection work at the station.

Over the past year, Phu Yen Power Transmission has actively applied scientific and technological achievements and digital transformation applications to operational management. The unit has used flycams for periodic and surprise inspections of power lines, helping to save 50% of time and labor compared to traditional methods.

In addition, this unit also applies shared software in business administration based on the common database of Vietnam Electricity Group and National Power Transmission Corporation such as: Digital Office Software (D-Office); construction investment management (IMIS), major repair management, regular repair, asset management...

Most documents and papers are stored in soft file format, contributing to reducing reports related to data statistics, minimizing hard copy books and papers, saving time searching and accessing when using, bringing more efficiency in work.

“Promoting digital transformation and applying science and technology has helped the unit save a lot of time and human resources for regular work and periodic management and operation, limiting the risk of incidents and improving operational reliability,” said Mr. To Dinh Trung, Director of Phu Yen Power Transmission.

According to Mr. Trung, the power transmission lines in the area pass through many mountainous areas with complex terrain; many North-South expressway projects under construction intersect and are located near the 220kV Quy Nhon - Tuy Hoa, Tuy Hoa - Van Phong feeders, so there are many potential risks to the safety of the line corridor.

Therefore, to continuously and closely monitor and promptly prevent incidents, Phu Yen Power Transmission has installed AI camera systems at many key locations. 24/7 online monitoring of power lines through images and warnings from AI cameras has saved a lot of manpower, improving the efficiency of inspection and monitoring.

Practice thrift and fight waste

With the synchronous solutions being focused on, the employees in the unit have raised their awareness, built the habit of saving electricity in the workplace and saving electricity for self-use in production at the unit. Currently, at the Tuy Hoa 220kV transformer station, the entire lighting system uses energy-saving LED lights, adjusting the hanging height of the bulbs appropriately to reduce the lighting capacity but still ensuring the working light intensity, the outdoor lighting system is automatically performed according to the season, ensuring that the fan motors and transformer cooling pumps work in the correct mode, the dryers in the equipment cabinet ensure that they work in accordance with the ambient temperature and save electricity.

Responding to this activity, in the past year, the unit's trade union has also launched many energy saving competitions, mobilizing 100% of staff and workers to participate in the contest "Learning about knowledge about economical and efficient energy use in 2023". In work and daily life, staff and workers always set an example and propagate to family members and the community to implement measures to save electricity and energy...
