Buy a dog for tens of thousands of dollars
Taking us on a tour of his dog farm, Mr. Giang shared that since he was young, he has had a special love for pet dogs, especially Bully dogs, because he loves their big muscles and fierce faces.
Since 2016, he bought American Bully dogs to raise, at a price of 15 million VND each. After 3 years of care and accumulating enough experience, he spent tens of thousands of USD to buy 2 Exotic Bully dogs from the US for breeding, then started breeding and trading this expensive dog breed.
Mr. Giang said that Exotic Bully is a breed of dog originating from America, imported by many countries to crossbreed and then purebred them, including Vietnam.
Despite its rugged appearance; muscular shoulders and legs; boxy head; slanted eyes; good bone structure... this breed is very gentle and friendly. Exotic Bully is considered a "strange" branch of the standard American Bully line, each dog costs up to 17,000 - 20,000 USD.
To ensure that Bully dogs develop well, Mr. Giang especially invested in a quality living environment for his pet dog. The dog farm was built on the rooftop, with an area of nearly 100m2, including many rooms, fenced nets and a thorough drainage system, with an additional common yard designed to suit the living characteristics of dogs.
In particular, Mr. Giang had to install a 24/7 air conditioner in the breeding room, maintaining the appropriate temperature to avoid heat shock. To help the dogs develop well, their diet includes ground pork and chicken mixed with vegetables, and regular vitamin and calcium supplements.
High profit industry
According to Mr. Giang, raising and trading Bully dogs is a highly profitable industry. The Bully breed was once a fever in Vietnam and shows no signs of cooling down. The birth and survival rates are low, so the price of puppies is much higher than that of regular dog breeds.
Up to now, Mr. Giang has raised a litter of 20 adult dogs. As for puppies, he is selling them in all provinces and cities across the country at an average price of 22 million - 175 million VND/dog, some of which are even more expensive, bringing in a total annual income of over 300 million VND.
Not only does he satisfy his passion and earn high profits for himself, Mr. Giang also spreads his passion for this Bully breed to his friends. Some people initially did not dare to approach him, but after receiving technical support and instructions on how to care for him from Mr. Giang, they boldly spent a "huge" amount of money to buy dogs to raise and do business with.
In addition, his dogs have achieved many high achievements at shows. The dogs that have won high prizes not only increase in value but the puppies they produce also have higher prices than those of the same breed.
