Therefore, from tomorrow (November 16), there is a possibility of flooding on rivers from Quang Tri to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa. Strong cold air is still moving south, and is expected to affect the North on November 17.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today (November 15), in the Central Central region there will be scattered rain and showers.

Forecast from the night of November 15 to November 17: The area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang, the eastern part of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall from 100-250mm, locally over 350mm; the area from Ha Tinh to North Quang Tri will have moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall from 70-150mm, locally over 250mm.

From November 16 to November 17, the western provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will have moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall from 50-80mm, locally very heavy rain over 150mm.

Warning of the risk of heavy rain (over 150mm/3h). During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Heavy rain can cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.

In addition, from November 16-18, the Southern region will have moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall from 50-100mm, locally over 150mm.

Flood warning on rivers from Quang Tri to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa

Currently, water levels on rivers in Hue city are fluctuating at alert level 1 to above alert level 1, other rivers from Quang Tri to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa are fluctuating.

From November 16 to 20, there is a possibility of a flood on rivers from Quang Tri to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa. During this flood, the flood peak on Bo River, Huong River (Hue City); Vu Gia-Thu Bon River (Da Nang City); Tra Khuc River, Ve River, Se San River (Quang Ngai); Kon River, upstream Ba River (Gia Lai), downstream Ba River, Ky Lo River (Dak Lak), Dinh Ninh Hoa River (Khanh Hoa) will rise to alert levels 2-3, some rivers will be above alert level 3; An Lao River, Kien Giang River, Thach Han River (Quang Tri), Lai Giang River (Gia Lai), Krong Ana River, Srepok River (Dak Lak), Cai Phan Rang River, Cai Nha Trang River (Khanh Hoa) will rise to alert levels 1-2 and above alert level 2.

Risk of flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, urban areas, and densely populated areas in provinces/cities from Quang Tri to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa. High risk of flash floods on rivers and streams and landslides on slopes in provinces/cities from Quang Tri to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa. Flood risk warning level: Level 3.

Specific weather in each region on the night of November 15 and November 16

The Northwest region has some rain; the clouds will reduce in the afternoon and evening, and the weather will be sunny. The night and early morning will be cold. From Thanh Hoa to Hue, it is cloudy; in the North (Thanh Hoa - Nghe An), there is rain in some places; in the South, there is moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms. North to Northwest wind level 2-3. Cold at night and morning. During thunderstorms, there is a risk of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. The South Central Coast has moderate to heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Northeast wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts may appear. Lowest temperature 22-25 degrees Celsius; highest temperature 25-28 degrees Celsius, in the South some places above 28 degrees Celsius.

In the Central Highlands, the North has moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. In the South, there are showers and thunderstorms in some places at night, and rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain during the day. Northeast wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. The lowest temperature is 18-21 degrees Celsius; the highest temperature is 24-27 degrees Celsius, some places above 27 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi has rain in some places; Northeast wind level 2-3. Cold at night and early morning. Lowest temperature from 18-20 degrees Celsius; highest from 25-27 degrees Celsius.

Ho Chi Minh City has scattered showers and thunderstorms at night, moderate rain and thunderstorms during the day, with some heavy rain in some places. Northeast wind level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. Lowest temperature 23-25 ​​degrees Celsius; highest 29-31 degrees Celsius.
