According to the news of the Hue City Hydrometeorological Station, at 1:00 p.m. on August 28, the center of the tropical depression was located at about 15.3 degrees North latitude; 115.7 degrees East longitude in the North East Sea, about 420km East Southeast of Hoang Sa special zone. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6-7 (39-61km/h), gusting to level 9, moving southwest at a speed of 10-15km/h.
Forecast by 1:00 p.m. on August 29, the low pressure area will be at 16.7 degrees North latitude -112.3 degrees East longitude, in the Hoang Sa special zone sea area; intensity level 7, gust level 9; moving in the West Northwest direction, 15-20km/h and likely to strengthen.
Due to the influence of the tropical depression that is likely to strengthen into a storm, from August 29-31, inland Hue City will have rain, scattered moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind; sea areas will have winds of level 4-5, then gradually strengthening to level 6, gusting to level 7-8.
Waves are 0.5-1.5m high, then gradually increase to 2-3m, rough seas; near the center of the tropical depression, waves are 3-4m high, rough seas. Ships operating at sea are advised to take precautions and avoid entering dangerous areas to ensure safety.
