
Police and market management authorities in Bac Giang province seized 13 different types of counterfeit cosmetics.
According to the head of the Drug Administration, these recalls were all based on voluntary requests from the businesses.
Specifically, the Central Pharmaceutical Company No. 2 (Ho Chi Minh City) requested the recall of the product registration number for Urgo Filmogel Spots (number 157273/21/CBMP-QLD), manufactured in Belgium. This is a widely used skincare product.
Le Giang Cosmetics Co., Ltd. ( Hai Phong ) also requests the recall of two product registration numbers for Gcell Y Zone Cleanser, imported from South Korea.
JP-Bui Dang Co., Ltd. ( Hanoi ) has 32 product recall requests. The list includes cosmetics from various brands such as Anessa, Hadalabo, DHC, Bigen, Eyebon, Skin Vape, Muhi, etc. These are familiar cosmetic products to Vietnamese consumers.
According to the head of the Drug Administration Department, these recall decisions are effective from the date of signing and have been notified to the Departments of Health in provinces and cities for coordinated monitoring and implementation.
The revocation of registration numbers for cosmetic products, based on voluntary requests from businesses, is taking place amidst the simultaneous implementation by ministries, sectors, and localities of Prime Minister's Directive 65/CĐ-TTg on launching a high-intensity campaign to combat and prevent smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and intellectual property infringement.
For the pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors, from May 15th to June 15th, the Drug Administration of Vietnam established 5 surprise inspection teams in the following provinces and cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Long An, An Giang, Nam Dinh, Phu Tho, and Bac Ninh.
The inspection teams checked 38 establishments, including 18 pharmaceutical establishments (9 manufacturing facilities; 9 drug import facilities); and 20 cosmetic businesses (including 13 cosmetic manufacturing facilities and 7 cosmetic trading and registration facilities).
Specifically in the cosmetics sector, inspection teams discovered 9 establishments engaging in violations. The main violations involved the declaration, advertising, and production of cosmetics with ingredients that did not match the product declaration form.
