On the evening of March 22, the AFC 37 Ho Tram Showdown mixed martial arts event took place in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. Right in the opening match, Vietnamese boxer Le Van Tuan excited the audience when he knocked out his Chinese opponent in the 56.7 kg weight class match.

Unfortunately, the remaining representative of Vietnam, Quang Van Minh, did not have a good result against Park Yeong-jun (Korea) in the 65.8 kg weight class. Against an opponent with a better height, Van Minh played quite well in the first round. However, in the second round, Park Yeong-jun counterattacked strongly with many accurate punches that made Van Minh dizzy. After 2 main rounds, the referee announced a draw, and the match had to go into extra time to determine the winner. In the extra time, Park Yeong-jun performed better and won by points against Quang Van Minh.

In addition, the AFC 37 Ho Tram Showdown event also witnessed some classy knockouts. Zhu Zahui (China) knocked Yang Jihua (Chinese Taipei) to the floor after just over 10 seconds of the match. Korean female boxer Kim So-yul also won by knockout thanks to a tricky choke.
