TPO - Towards the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), Da Nang youth organized many activitiesto educate traditions, promote revolutionary heroism, and affirm the stature and great historical value of this event.

This activity will take place over 2 days (May 6 and 7), screening the film Hoa Ban Do - a semi-documentary war drama directed by Bach Diep, first released in 1994 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory and the film Living with History produced by Vietnam Feature Film Studio in 2014 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duy Thanh - Head of Propaganda Department - Da Nang City Youth Union: "Through these films, Da Nang youth can look back at the heroic sacrifices of previous generations for the cause of national liberation. From there, each young person is determined to learn and follow the example of previous generations of young people, young heroes, to become the pioneer generation in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland".

Previously, the Da Nang City Youth Union also coordinated with the City Veterans Association to organize a gratitude activity and the art program "Should be a red wreath - Should be a golden history" to pay tribute to the sacrifices of previous generations, educating the tradition of patriotism and national spirit for the younger generation.

The art performances were elaborately and heroically staged, showing slices of the nation's historical campaigns - tragic, full of "blood and flowers", demonstrating the indomitable fighting spirit of the previous generation.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee paid tribute to veterans and former youth volunteers who directly participated in the fighting and served in the historic Dien Bien Phu Campaign and are currently living in the area.

The Da Nang City Youth Union organized a thematic activity program "Following the footsteps of heroes" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory with the participation of many children in activities: offering incense to report achievements at the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Military Region V branch, ringing the golden bell to learn about Dien Bien Phu, drawing pictures on the theme "Following the footsteps of heroes"...
