By the end of June 2025, Dien Bien Provincial Youth Union had mobilized social resources, connected with charitable organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to build and hand over 12 gratitude houses with a total cost of 1.12 billion VND, supporting poor households in Tua Chua, Muong Cha, Nam Po, Tuan Giao, Dien Bien Dong and Dien Bien districts.
In addition, 2 other houses are being built in Nam Po district, with a support level of 80 million VND/house. These are not only material shelters, but also demonstrate the profound companionship of the youth for people in difficult areas.

Dien Bien Provincial Youth Union summarizes the first 6 months of the year's Youth Union work and youth movement |
A notable new point is that Dien Bien Provincial Youth Union has coordinated with the Department of Construction to apply unburnt clay-cement brick pressing technology to the construction of supportive housing, contributing to cost savings and environmental protection.
Along with that, union members and young people directly contributed working days, transported materials, and contributed to building houses of love in the difficult border areas.
Along with the elimination of temporary housing, models to support livelihood development for poor households have also been effectively implemented. Youth Unions at all levels in the province have built models of “livelihood tree gardens”, “youth nurseries”, organized training in cultivation and animal husbandry techniques, and provided seeds, animals and agricultural materials to help people have sustainable livelihoods.
In many districts such as Tuan Giao, Muong Nhe, Muong Cha, union members have supported hundreds of households in planting macadamia trees, fruit trees, digging holes, fertilizing, and building small-scale sugarcane and cassava growing models.
In addition, the armed forces' youth union members also played a pioneering role in implementing the "Livelihood Model" in border areas, coordinating the construction of "Happy Houses" and "Bookcases for Children", providing not only a roof but also learning and living conditions for children and families of policy beneficiaries and ethnic minorities.
In addition to housing and livelihood support, the Provincial Youth Union also focuses resources on taking care of the lives of poor households through programs such as "Spring Volunteers", "March Border", "Warm Sunshine for Children", giving away hundreds of gifts, scholarships, bicycles, and school supplies, with a total value of up to billions of VND.
Those practical and humane actions are gradually realizing the dream of a sustainable home and a stable life for the poor, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction, building new rural areas, and spreading the image of Dien Bien youth as dynamic, creative, and affectionate.
