Tam Duong District Youth: Joining hands to build new countryside

Responding to the movement "Youth join hands to build new countryside", Tam Duong District Youth Union has concretized it with many specific and practical activities such as: coordinating with mass organizations and local authorities to build and repair rural roads, light up rural roads, support poor households, promote environmental protection, build new cultural life... In the past 5 years, the District Youth Union has implemented the construction of 48 projects and youth works at all levels, with a total value of 2,491 million VND. Typical examples include the construction of 11 solar-powered lighting projects with a total cost of 399 million VND; mobilizing support for cement to concretize rural roads, building hygienic toilets with a total value of over 800 million VND. Organizing the clearing and renovation of more than 90km of inter-village and intra-village roads; digging 55 garbage pits, building 7 new mini incinerators. Constructing 10 points and playgrounds at kindergartens and village cultural houses; participating in the construction of 1 cultural house, eliminating 4 temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households. Constructing and maintaining 15 "Bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe" self-managed youth routes, establishing and maintaining the operation of 9 traffic safety school gates in communes and towns... Organizing 25 "Volunteer Saturday" days and 60 "Green Sunday" days with the participation of more than 35,500 union members and young people. Planting over 50,000 new flowers, trees, fruit trees of all kinds... The projects bearing the mark of youth not only contribute to the completion of infrastructure but also create a clear change in people's awareness and actions to achieve the goal of building new rural areas.

Promote the youth movement to develop the economy and start a business through many effective programs, models and methods such as: guiding the establishment of 2 new youth cooperatives, maintaining youth start-up models in the fields of agriculture, tourism services... The Association at all levels actively mobilizes members to participate in economic development, transforming the structure of crops and livestock, contributing to job creation and increasing income for young people. In addition, the District Youth Union also coordinated and organized 40 career counseling sessions for 5,919 young people; Consulting and introducing jobs for 1,509 members and young people; short-term vocational training for 1,078 young people; maintaining 2 cooperatives owned by young people; 2 youth products were recognized by the District People's Committee as 3-star OCOP products; 6 projects were approved by the Provincial Youth Union to support loans for economic development for young people; Organized 2 groups of 40 young people to visit and learn from experiences in the fields of livestock and agriculture associated with tourism in the provinces of Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, Son La, Dien Bien. Established a model of a youth group "growing medicinal plants" in Nung Nang commune, a youth goat raising cooperative group... These models not only help young people stabilize their lives and enrich themselves legitimately, but also create more jobs for local workers, directly contributing to the income criteria in building new rural areas.

In the communes of Ta Leng, Khun Ha, Na Tam, Ban Giang, Binh Lu, Tam Duong town... the commune's Youth Union regularly organizes activities such as "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday"; propagates and mobilizes youth union members and people to classify waste, dispose of waste in the right place; cleans up workplaces and residential areas. Organizes campaigns to plant ornamental flowers and plants, trim trees, clear canals, repair roads, contributing to building clean and beautiful villages. Not only contributing, Tam Duong youth are also the core force in propaganda work, mobilizing people to raise awareness of environmental protection, abandon backward customs, preserve cultural identity and build a civilized lifestyle.

Youth Union member Hang A Tuoi - Secretary of Son Binh Commune Youth Union shared that the Commune Youth Union often organizes environmental cleaning activities as well as volunteer activities for community life. Not only actively responding, but each participating member feels very meaningful and useful because they have contributed a small part to bringing a green - clean - beautiful environment to their homeland.
