Thai Nguyen youth contribute to building their homeland

In the historic Autumn of 1945, the spirit of self-reliance, indomitable will and the desire for independence of the Vietnamese people flared up strongly, making the August Revolution a success. Exactly 80 years have passed, but that flame still burns in the hearts of every Vietnamese person, becoming a source of strength that urges today's young generation, including the youth of Thai Nguyen, to follow in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers, to be steadfast in their ideals, and to steadily rise up to contribute to building their homeland.

The success of the August Revolution was not only due to the Party's wise leadership, but also the crystallization of the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening, and the indomitable will of every Vietnamese citizen. Without a regular army or modern weapons, but with the spirit of patriotism and the great solidarity of the entire people, the Vietnamese people made a "miraculous uprising".

That is the priceless spiritual heritage – the revolutionary flame that never goes out, passed from generation to generation. In the process of innovation, integration and development today, the young generation of Thai Nguyen is the one who lights that flame with will, knowledge and concrete actions.

Thai Nguyen – a land of revolutionary history, once the capital of the resistance war, today is witnessing the young generation continuing the tradition by committing and contributing. In the face of rapid changes and many challenges in the digital age, the youth of Thai Nguyen still uphold revolutionary ideals, patriotism and the aspiration to build their homeland.

From action movements such as "Youth Volunteers", "Creative Youth", "Youth Volunteers to Protect the Fatherland", to digital transformation programs, start-ups - businesses, rural digital economic development, environmental protection, etc., Thai Nguyen youth are turning the spirit of self-reliance and self-reliance into concrete actions.

Mr. Pham Tien Dat, Director of Van Lang Agricultural and Forestry Service Cooperative, was honored as a National Outstanding Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings in 2025.

Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union identifies the core and consistent task of educating revolutionary traditions and the will to rise up through forums, seminars, and thematic branch activities; supporting young people in economic development through cooperative groups, accessing loans from the National Employment Fund, transferring science and technology, connecting the consumption of startup products, etc. Along with that are career orientation programs, soft skills training, digital transformation, helping young people confidently adapt to the new context.

Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hien, Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union, shared: The 80-year revolutionary tradition will be renewed by the young generation with aspiration, knowledge and dedication - contributing to the sustainable development of Thai Nguyen, becoming the driving force of the Northern Midlands and Mountains. I believe that with the support of the Youth Union and the attention of the Party Committee and the government, Thai Nguyen youth will continue to be the core force in building their homeland.

Without waiting or relying, the young generation of Thai Nguyen has proactively started their own businesses and become rich from their own labor, intelligence and courage. They not only enrich themselves but also create jobs for the community.

Tinh Khau Khang community tourism site (Ngan Son commune) combines tourism development with preserving local culture.

The Pioneer Agricultural Cooperative (HTX) model in Yen Trach commune, founded by member Nguyen Quoc Hoang, is a typical example. Starting from scratch, he studied traditional medicine and researched medicinal plant cultivation. Up to now, on average, the cooperative sells 2 tons of dry products and about 15,000 boxes of tea bags each month, with revenue reaching more than 300 million VND. "I aim to have 6-10 4-star OCOP products by 2030 and annual revenue of about 40 billion VND," Hoang shared.

In Ngan Son commune, three young men, Nguyen Van Phuoc, Doanh Hong Chuyen and Doanh Hong Na, built Tinh Khau Khang Community Tourism Site. The three of them mobilized investment, planned, designed the landscape, and applied digital technology to promote and attract more than 2,000 visitors each year.

There are many other models such as Van Lang Agricultural and Forestry Service Cooperative, Phu Luong Agricultural Products Cooperative... that have proven that the spirit of self-reliance is no longer a slogan, but has become a driving force for action, a "fire" that has been passed down through many generations.

The 80-year journey of self-reliance of our fathers and brothers is being continued and renewed by generations of Thai Nguyen youth every day with knowledge, aspiration and action. When young people constantly commit themselves, confidently innovate and create value, it is also the time when the revolutionary flame of the past is lit by the breath of the times.
