Commending 133 typical collectives and individuals in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style

On this occasion, on the afternoon of May 13 at the Presidential Palace, President Vo Van Thuong met with 133 typical groups and individuals (58 groups and 75 individuals) who are advanced in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in all levels of Trade Unions, civil servants, public employees and workers.

At the meeting, Vice President of the General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu reported to the President some outstanding results of trade unions at all levels in implementing "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle". Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle is extremely important, encouraging union members, civil servants, public employees and workers nationwide to make efforts to practice, cultivate, study, work, produce, contribute to the common development of agencies, units and enterprises; overcome difficulties, promote economic and social development; improve the quality of activities, innovate trade union organizations, contribute to building a modern and strong working class. Representatives of the commended collectives and individuals reported to the President some outstanding achievements and expressed their joy and pride at representing tens of thousands of typical and advanced collectives and individuals at all levels of Trade Unions, civil servants, public employees, and workers commended by the General Confederation of Labor, especially meeting to report their achievements to the President.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Vo Van Thuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Trade Union organizations, union members, civil servants, public employees and workers nationwide in practice. In particular, the President warmly commended the outstanding achievements of 58 collectives and 75 individuals who were commended and rewarded. In the atmosphere where people nationwide have many activities towards the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the commendation and reward of advanced models in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style among workers, civil servants and workers is even more meaningful.

On May 14 in Hanoi, the General Confederation of Labor held a conference to review two years and commend advanced models in "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle". Attending the conference were Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia; President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang, representatives of leaders of trade unions at all levels, a number of foreign enterprises in Vietnam, and a large number of cadres, union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers.

According to President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang, in the process of Vietnam's revolution, Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style have always been an important part of the social spiritual foundation, a driving force and a great source of strength for our people to promote their internal strength, overcome challenges and difficulties, and achieve many great victories. Imbued with his teachings, in the past two years, trade unions at all levels have organized more than 26,000 propaganda and dissemination sessions with the participation of more than 3 million union members, workers, civil servants and laborers. From "studying" has turned into concrete "following" actions. There have been 7,256 collectives and 812,800 individuals registering to carry out 966,500 actions following Uncle Ho. Patriotic emulation movements launched by the Trade Union have been actively responded to by union members, workers, civil servants and laborers. A typical example is the program "1 million initiatives - efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic", launched by the General Confederation of Labor, which "reached the finish line" nearly a year early, bringing in a profit of about 16,000 billion VND... In the past two years, 15,128 collectives and individuals have been recognized and rewarded by trade unions at all levels for their outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", said Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang.

On the occasion of the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and the 2-year review of the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05, the Presidium of the General Confederation of Labor organized a ceremony to commend and award Certificates of Merit to 58 collectives and 75 individuals who are typical examples of progress in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. These are typical representatives of more than 15,000 outstanding collectives and individuals selected from all levels of the trade union. Coming from many different professions, fields and positions, the 133 collectives and individuals commended are all typical examples imbued with Uncle Ho's ideology, morality and style, thereby devoting themselves to their work, agencies, units, enterprises, the Trade Union organization and the country. With their enthusiasm and responsibility, these will be vivid and specific propagandists for comrades, colleagues, and families to strive to learn together, thereby expanding the movement, improving the effectiveness of studying and following Uncle Ho in the whole society.

Speaking at the Conference, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia praised the outstanding achievements of 58 collectives and 75 individuals who were honored. “You are the most beautiful flowers in the forest of flowers studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. I hope that you will continue to make efforts, strive, promote the spirit of setting an example, and become a factor that strongly spreads the movement of studying and following Uncle Ho among cadres, union members, civil servants, public employees and workers, as Uncle Ho taught: "If you want people to follow you, you must set an example first", "a shining example is worth hundreds of propaganda speeches", the Head of the Central Propaganda Department emphasized.

The Head of the Central Propaganda Department also suggested that the Trade Union organization should continue to innovate the content, methods, and forms of propaganda, in which, identifying promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle as an important task in the work of political, ideological, moral, and lifestyle education for cadres, union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers. Promoting and creating a stronger shift from "studying" to "following" Uncle Ho, making the study and following of Uncle Ho a personal, regular need, a great driving force and strength to build a modern, strong working class and a strong Trade Union organization.
