On the morning of May 17, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to commend and reward students and teachers with outstanding achievements in national and regional exams in the 2022-2023 school year.

Attending the ceremony were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Tan; representatives of leaders of relevant departments and branches, along with a large number of teachers and students.

Promoting the achievements, in the 2022-2023 school year, theEducation sector continues to achieve positive results: the scale and quality of education are gradually improved; continuing to maintain the leading position in the region in terms of achievements in national and regional competitions. Specifically, in the National High School Excellent Student Competition, Dak Lak province had 37 students winning prizes, an increase of 1 prize compared to the 2021-2022 school year, ranking 24th nationwide. Notably, Hoang Duy Vu, grade 12 Informatics, Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted, excellently passed the qualifying round to become a member of the national team participating in the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad.

At the National Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the 2022-2023 school year, the project "Using artificial intelligence to build the ASDOPBOCXR application to support the diagnosis of COVID-19 pneumonia based on chest X-ray" by Tran Manh Dung and Le Huu Dieu Uyen, Hoang Viet Primary, Secondary and High School, excellently won the Second Prize.

At the Final Round of the 5th National Student Startup Idea Competition in 2023, there were 3 award-winning projects: "Producing biological clay powder from dragon fruit peel" by students of Le Quy Don High School won the first prize; "Designing and manufacturing a passion fruit pulp suction machine to automate the production process and increase labor productivity" by students of Dong Du Secondary and High School won the second prize; "Manufacture of IOT devices for learning and entertainment" by students of Buon Ma Thuot High School won the third prize...

In the coming time, the education sector will strengthen the direction of implementing order and discipline in agencies and school units; focus on training and improving the quality of management staff and teachers; promote scientific research and apply research achievements to teaching practices of each educational institution.

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Tan congratulated and commended the achievements of teachers and students in the past time. At the same time, he emphasized that the education sector needs to synchronously deploy innovative teaching solutions to improve the quality of comprehensive education, in which key education is the driving force and important premise for training high-quality human resources. The education sector and related agencies and units urgently consult on innovation of local policies and mechanisms in supporting and rewarding students, teachers, and units participating in national and international exams and competitions to encourage and motivate students, teachers, educational institutions, etc.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit to 18 students, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 37 students and 20 teachers with high achievements in the National High School Excellent Student Competition in the 2022 - 2023 school year; the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 teachers and 11 students with excellent achievements in the 5th "Students with Startup Ideas" Contest in 2023; the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 teacher and 2 students with excellent achievements in the National Science and Technology Competition for High School Students in the 2022 - 2023 school year.

Representatives of the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education presented certificates of merit to students and teachers with outstanding achievements in educational activities in the 2022-2023 school year.

The Department of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit to 60 students with outstanding achievements at the National Vietnamese Language Contest for Primary School Students in the 2022-2023 school year, the 3rd National High School Students' National Defense and Security Education Sports Festival, the National Vovinam Competition for High School Students in the 2022-2023 school year, and the 2023 April 30 Olympic Competition. The Provincial Association for Promotion of Education also awarded Certificates of Merit to students and teachers with outstanding achievements in the 2022-2023 school year.
