At the conference, delegates listened to reporters from the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control; Department of Domestic Security (An Giang Provincial Police) disseminate knowledge about the Law on Cyber Security, rules of conduct in cyberspace, and the current situation of fraud and property appropriation crimes in cyberspace.
Thereby, helping the delegates to gain more knowledge, grasp the rules of conduct in cyberspace, and at the same time recognize the methods and tricks of criminals to defraud and appropriate property in cyberspace, especially the methods and tricks that often occur in An Giang, such as: Impersonating police agencies; impersonating tax officials to defraud and appropriate property; defrauding and appropriate property through the form of recruiting collaborators to do online tasks; impersonating banks and financial companies to defraud and lend money online... In addition, the delegates also heard propaganda about tricks to take advantage of religion to violate national security, order, and social safety...
Through the conference, it contributes to raising people's awareness of the methods and tricks of all types of crimes, especially cyber crimes... to promptly detect and effectively participate in the fight against all activities that cause insecurity and disorder, minimizing damage.
On this occasion, the Department of Building the Homeland Security Protection Movement, the Ministry of Public Security and An Giang Provincial Police awarded certificates of merit to 30 individuals who had achievements in propagating and mobilizing people to participate in ensuring security and order and building the movement "All people protect the Homeland Security" at the grassroots level; and at the same time presented 300 helmets to delegates attending the conference.
