The province currently has nearly 53,000 workers, civil servants, and laborers (NLĐ) working in agencies, units, industrial zones, clusters, and cooperatives. Workers' Month and the annual Occupational Safety and Health Action Month (OSH) are occasions for authorities at all levels, trade unions, and businesses to honor the contributions of workers and laborers, and join hands to care for their lives and protect their legitimate rights and interests.

Safe to produce

The whole province aims to ensure absolute safety in production and business. In particular, during the peak period of the 2025 Occupational Safety and Health Action Month, agencies, units and localities will focus on promoting information and propaganda activities to raise awareness and create changes in compliance with occupational safety laws.

Along with the propaganda work, the province has also requested enterprises employing laborers in the area to focus on reviewing, identifying, and assessing occupational safety and health risks for machinery, equipment, and materials with strict requirements on occupational safety. Workers and laborers need to be equipped with labor protection and receive regular health check-ups. The unit continuously checks and improves working conditions, and regularly monitors the environment at the workplace.

Despite difficulties, during the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health, sectors have proactively done a good job of advising and coordinating with departments, branches, unions, and press agencies to diversify information and propaganda activities. At the same time, they regularly consulted anddisseminated occupational safety and health laws to enterprises and production and business establishments to strictly implement procedures and measures to ensure occupational safety and health.

Mr. Phan Dai Thang, Deputy Director of Department of Home Affairs

Mr. Le Van Ho, Deputy Director of Hao Hung Phu Yen Co., Ltd. (Dong Bac Song Cau Industrial Park) said: Since its establishment, the company has not had any serious work accidents. This result is thanks to the company's proactive implementation of plans to ensure the safety of employees. During the recent Occupational Safety and Health Action Month, the company coordinated with units to organize consultations, training, and coaching on occupational safety and health associated with the characteristics and specificities of production; focusing on practical training, skills to assess occupational safety and health risks. The company's leaders also provided knowledge for employees to protect themselves during work.

As an eyewear production worker at Concept Eyewear Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Hoa Hiep Industrial Park, Dong Hoa Town), like other workers, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung is always concerned by the company about using labor protection when working, thereby limiting risks such as needles pricking the hand, sharp iron objects falling on the foot. Every month, the company organizes health check-ups to promptly detect and treat labor-related diseases. "I have been working here for more than a year. The company supports labor protection, takes care of the health, and cares about the lives of workers," said Ms. Kim Chung.

Building harmonious labor relations

For many years, trade unions at all levels have closely coordinated with the government, functional departments, and enterprises to carry out many practical activities to protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers and employees. Every year, the Provincial Federation of Labor coordinates with the Health Sector Trade Union to organize free medical examinations and health consultations for hundreds of union members and employees working at units and enterprises. Meetings between voters and the National Assembly Delegation, provincial leaders, local authorities, and business representatives have been organized, creating conditions for leaders to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of workers.

According to Vice Chairman of Phu Yen Economic Zone Trade Union Ngo Hoang Vi, in response to the 2025 Occupational Safety and Health Action Month, Phu Yen Economic Zone Trade Union focuses on propaganda programs, legal advice, and dialogue with workers and employees to promptly resolve their opinions, recommendations, and legitimate aspirations. The grassroots trade union visits and presents gifts to union members, workers, and employees facing difficulties, occupational accidents, and occupational diseases. Enterprises in the economic zone are increasingly improving the quality of meals, improving working conditions, and taking care of the health of employees.

"Every year, the programs in Workers' Month and Occupational Safety and Health Action Month are always innovated by the company in both form and content, becoming more and more diverse, exciting and effective," said Mr. Phan Dinh Hong, Chairman of the Trade Union of An Hung Joint Stock Company. These activities have brought joy and solidarity between union members and workers with trade union organizations and enterprises, building a team of workers and laborers that is increasingly strong and comprehensively developed; at the same time, raising awareness and responsibility of the community and society towards workers and laborers in the new situation.

According to Mr. Phan Dai Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, despite difficulties, during the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health, the sectors have proactively done a good job of advising and coordinating with departments, sectors, unions, and press agencies to diversify information and propaganda activities. At the same time, they regularly advise and disseminate occupational safety and health laws to enterprises and production and business establishments to strictly implement procedures and measures to ensure occupational safety and health.

To continue to minimize occupational accidents and diseases, and ensure occupational safety and health, the Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches, and units to guide and inspect organizations and enterprises to review and develop regulations, procedures, and safety measures in workshops and factories; promote the implementation of specific action programs to improve working conditions, build harmonious labor relations, reduce stress and fatigue at work, and implement welfare regimes for employees.
