The delegation visited models of applying scientific and technical advances in sugarcane and cassava production at households; and listened to direct sharing about the effectiveness of the models, technical processes, solutions to increase productivity, reduce costs, and adapt to climate change for sugarcane and cassava.
The delegation members also learned about new sugarcane varieties with high yields and new cassava varieties that are effective in resisting viral mosaic disease; how to apply machinery in land preparation, use drip irrigation systems to save and proactively manage water resources; apply drones to spray fertilizers and pesticides periodically, improving care efficiency...
According to the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center, the study trip is an activity to concretize the policy of restructuring the agricultural sector, converting crop structure and bringing agricultural extension policies closer to the people.
