Propaganda and mobilization of ethnic minority women to eliminate backward customs

In Ea Lam commune (Song Hinh district), the Provincial Women's Union has just organized a legal talk for 50 members of the community media team and women. This activity is within the framework of implementing Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children" in 2025 under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period.

The talk focused on promoting gender equality, preventing human trafficking and promoting the elimination of some bad customs related to women and children in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Through familiar stories, real-life situations and two-way interactive exchanges, the talk helped women better identify illegal acts, while raising awareness, self-protection skills and affirming the role of women in the family and community.

In addition to Ea Lam - the pilot commune implementing the model of the province's Community Communication Team, the Provincial Women's Union also organized talks with the same content in Xuan Lanh commune (Dong Xuan district) and Ea Cha Rang commune (Son Hoa district) to spread the message of gender equality and eliminate bad customs in remote areas of the province.
