On the afternoon of August 13, coach Nguyen Trong Linh and his team defeated the Egyptian team with a score of 3-1 (25-16, 26-24, 22-25 and 25-20). Winning this match, the Vietnam women's volleyball team will advance to the 17-20 qualifying round. Accordingly, the Vietnamese girls will face U.21 Chile - the team that defeated U.21 Mexico in the match on the evening of August 13. The next match of coach Nguyen Trong Linh and his team will take place on August 15.
