Specifically, the Italian U.21 women's volleyball team won convincingly against the Indonesian U.21 team with a score of 3-1. The scores in the games were 25-12, 25-19, 21-25 and 25-13 respectively. With this result, the team from the old continent continued to compete with the Chinese U.21 women's volleyball team in the next round.

Previously, the U.21 Indonesian women's volleyball team was chosen to replace the U.21 Vietnam team to compete in the round of 16. Meanwhile, the U.21 Vietnam team is only allowed to participate in the qualifying matches from 17 to 21, and individuals and groups accused of violations are at risk of being fined and banned from competing.

Meanwhile, the Vietnam U.21 women's volleyball team continues to compete in the 17-24 qualifying round at the 2025 U.21 World Championship. On the afternoon of August 13, coach Nguyen Trong Linh and his team defeated the Egyptian team with a score of 3-1 (25-16, 26-24, 22-25 and 25-20). Winning this match, the Vietnam women's volleyball team will advance to the 17-20 qualifying round. Accordingly, the Vietnamese girls will face U.21 Chile - the team that defeated U.21 Mexico in the match on the evening of August 13. The next match of coach Nguyen Trong Linh and his team will take place on August 15.
