In the final match of the CFA Team China 2025 International U16 Tournament taking place on the afternoon of June 1, the Vietnam U16 team made an excellent comeback to win 2-1 against Saudi Arabia U16.

In the first minutes of the first half, U16 Vietnam was at a disadvantage when midfielder Van Duong was injured in the 8th minute and had to leave the field, giving way to Quang Hung. In the 23rd minute, U16 Saudi Arabia unexpectedly opened the scoring after seizing an opportunity from a mistake in U16 Vietnam's defense despite U16 Vietnam's best efforts.

After conceding the goal, U16 Vietnam quickly equalized. In the 29th minute, after a coordinated attack on the right wing, Sy Bach quickly escaped and crossed the ball accurately for Quang Khoi to jump high and head the ball to equalize 1-1 for U16 Vietnam.

In the second half, U16 Vietnam continued to play solidly, while taking advantage of sharp counterattacks against a highly rated opponent. In the 55th minute, U16 Saudi Arabia was awarded a penalty after a foul in the penalty area, but the opposing player missed the shot.

In the 83rd minute, Chu Ngoc Nguyen Luc had a technical dribble that forced the opposing defender to commit a foul outside the penalty area. It was this player wearing the number 10 jersey who took the free kick and scored, sealing a 2-1 victory for U16 Vietnam.

With this result, U16 Vietnam finished the tournament with 4 points, equal to the host U16 China but temporarily ranked behind due to a lower goal difference (5/5 compared to 4/3). The final ranking of U16 Vietnam will be determined after the late match between U16 Australia and U16 China taking place at 6:35 p.m. the same day.

If U16 Australia wins U16 China 1-0 or with a difference of 2 goals or more, U16 Vietnam will win second place overall thanks to the extra index.

If U16 Australia wins 2-1, the ranking between U16 Vietnam and U16 China will be based on the fair-play index. If Australia wins 3-2 or more, U16 China will keep the second place in the table.
