Nha Trang City People's Committee directs handling and dismantling of illegal construction works in Vinh Thai commune

On May 9, the leader of Nha Trang City People's Committee said that he had issued a document requesting Vinh Thai Commune People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to strengthen inspection, review, and prepare documents to handle violations in the field of land; resolutely dismantle illegal construction works in the entire area of the Nha Trang City Mixed-use Urban Area Project. At the same time, the Commune People's Committee is responsible before the law for handling the case according to its authority.

According to the report of Vinh Thai Commune People's Committee, from the beginning of April until now, the situation of violations of construction and land in Vinh Xuan village has tended to decrease but still occurs sporadically. Notably, the violations are mainly concentrated in the area preparing to implement a number of key projects such as: Joint headquarters of departments, branches and sectors under the Provincial People's Committee; Provincial Police Headquarters; Mixed urban area of Nha Trang City... The violating constructions are mainly temporary houses (corrugated iron roof structure, corrugated iron walls, area of about 15 - 20m²), built quickly at night, on holidays and in locations that are difficult to detect. Although the Commune People's Committee has organized regular patrols, applied preventive measures, temporarily seized evidence and means of violation, the situation of violations is still complicated.
