Attending the seminar were Dr. Le Hoang Du, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province, along with more than 100 delegates including school leaders, lecturers, and a large number of students.
Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Trinh Huynh An, Director of the Ca Mau Branch of Binh Duong University, shared: "This is the first time the Branch has organized a large-scale seminar revolving around the topic of applying artificial intelligence in innovating foreign language teaching. This is not only a topical issue but also has profound practical value. Through this forum, we not only introduce useful AI tools in foreign language teaching but also contribute to connecting higher education with secondary education, promoting innovation in teaching methods in line with the trend of applying modern technology."

A highlight of the seminar was the presentation of 9 out of 20 reports and papers by experienced teachers and staff from primary to high school levels in the province. These papers focused on practical applications of AI in teaching, such as: using AI to build question banks, prepare lessons, and design tests and assessments for English at the high school level; utilizing ChatGPT and Suno to create interest in vocabulary learning for students; and combining ChatGPT and Replika to improve English communication skills.
Distinguished teacher Mac Xuan Tien from Phan Ngoc Hien High School for the Gifted shared his insights on "Applying AI to build question banks, prepare lessons, and design tests and assessments for English at the high school level."
In addition, the professional teachers shared their experiences using the Lingoland application to support speaking skills development; developing English writing skills through the Write & Improve platform; introducing the English 4.0 Club model with AI-integrated extracurricular activities; and discussing the opportunities and challenges of applying AI in secondary schools.
Students from the Ca Mau branch of Binh Duong University researched AI application methods presented at the seminar.
At the seminar, many teachers from schools in the province exchanged and discussed practical experiences and highly appreciated the usefulness of AI tools in teaching foreign languages for different grade levels and student groups, as well as the difficulties that may be encountered when implementing them.
The seminar attracted many opinions and exchanges from teachers and students on the effectiveness of applying AI methods in teaching and learning.
Highly appreciating the seminar, Dr. Le Hoang Du, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of the province, emphasized: "In the context of the strong development of digital technology, AI is not only a global trend but also affirms its increasingly important role in the field of education, especially in foreign language teaching."
Dr. Le Hoang Du, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training, highly appreciated the seminar and hoped that schools and teachers would continue to creatively and more strongly apply artificial intelligence in teaching, contributing to improving the quality of education.
"I believe that through this seminar, delegates, teachers, and students will together gain a clearer understanding of the opportunities, challenges, and responsibilities of the education sector in applying AI to keep up with the trends of the times. This will lead to practical and feasible solutions to improve and enhance the quality of foreign language teaching and other subjects at all educational levels," Dr. Le Hoang Du hoped.
