Enhancing the role of farmers in the digital transformation era.

Speaking at the first Congress of the Tan Hung Commune Farmers' Association, term 2025-2030, on the afternoon of October 23rd, Mr. Do Hoang Tuan, Standing Vice Chairman and Head of the Farmers' Affairs Committee (Ca Mau Provincial Farmers' Association), urged the Commune Farmers' Association to continue to promote the core role of the peasant class in developing modern agriculture, accelerate the application of science and technology, digital transformation in production, and replicate cooperative economic models, contributing to the construction of advanced and exemplary new rural areas.

The Standing Vice Chairman also noted that the Association needs to effectively implement the Central and provincial resolutions on agriculture , farmers , and rural areas until 2030, with a vision to 2045; focus on improving the quality of the farmers' emulation movement in excellent production and business, solidarity in helping each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty; and effectively utilize the Farmers' Support Fund, creating a ripple effect in the community.

Comrade Phan Thanh Liem, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Tan Hung commune, presented a congratulatory banner to the congress.

The congress had 84 official delegates, representing 981 farmer members throughout the commune.

During the past term, the Tan Hung Commune Farmers' Association achieved many outstanding results, especially in the "3 pioneers" movement: pioneering poverty alleviation and wealth creation; pioneering the building of civilized farmers; and pioneering green, sustainable production linked to digital transformation. Currently, the commune has 7 cooperatives and 8 professional associations that boldly apply high technology in production such as: super-intensive shrimp farming, improved two-stage extensive shrimp farming, and crab farming in plastic boxes...

The Congress identified shortcomings that need to be overcome, drew lessons learned, and determined 5 general objectives, 11 specific targets, 4 breakthrough tasks, and key solutions for the 2025-2030 term.

Comrade Do Hoang Tuan presented 2 billion VND from the Farmers' Support Fund to the Farmers' Association of the commune.

At the Congress, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association announced the Decision appointing the personnel of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, President, and Vice President of the Tan Hung Commune Farmers' Association for the first term, 2025-2030, consisting of 32 members; Ms. Tran Thi Dang was appointed to hold the position of President of the Tan Hung Commune Farmers' Association for the first term, 2025-2030.
