Attending the training course were Mr. Vu Dai Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Tran Huy Tung, Director of ELCOM R&D Center (ELCOM Technology - Telecommunications Joint Stock Company) and representatives of Departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones in the city.
The training course was organized to raise awareness, knowledge and digital skills for cadres, civil servants and public employees in state agencies - one of the key tasks in the roadmap to build the city's digital government. By the end of 2025, Hai Phong strives to have over 80% of cadres, civil servants, public employees and public sector workers have basic understanding of digital transformation, digital skills and the ability to apply artificial intelligence platforms and tools to practical work.

Speaking at the training course, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Vu Dai Thang emphasized: AI is not only a tool to improve productivity but also a core capacity to modernize the leadership, direction and administration methods of governments at all levels; contributing to improving the quality of consulting, shortening the time for civil servants and public employees to process work and build a professional, transparent, effective and efficient administrative agency. He affirmed that the application of AI in state management is a key task, not only urgent, but also has long-term strategic significance, requiring each cadre and civil servant to change their mindset, proactively learn, improve digital capacity, be ready to access and effectively exploit digital technology platforms and systems.
Within the framework of the program, students were introduced to and discussed the following topics: Overview of AI and Automation in public administration; skills in using common AI tools; AI applications for officials; AI applications for leaders; AI applications for citizens; ethics, legality and security when applying AI.
Through the training course, trainees will consolidate their knowledge and improve their technology application skills, thereby contributing to promoting administrative reform, improving service quality and efficiency of state agencies. This is also a practical activity in response to the "Digital Education for All" Movement, demonstrating the spirit of learning, innovation and determination of the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees of Hai Phong city in the process of building digital government, digital society and digital citizens./.
