The 26th Exam Season Counseling Program in 2024, organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training and the Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam province, concluded its morning counseling session on March 3rd at Sky-Line Hill Primary, Secondary, and High School in Ha My Dong A urban area (Dien Ban town, Quang Nam). The afternoon session will continue from 2 PM.
Nearly 2,000 students attended the event in the morning.
Students from the Quang Nam Provincial Ethnic Boarding High School participate in the Exam Season Counseling Program.
In the morning, students were introduced to the latest information about the 2024 high school graduation exam and university admissions; trends in training fields; opportunities for admission to various groups of universities; "hot" majors with high employment rates after graduation; and which admission methods offer the best chances of admission…
Zơ Râm Thị Xu Xu (12th grade, Quang Nam Provincial Ethnic Boarding High School) said that she was very excited when the school announced she could participate in the exam season counseling session organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper. Through the program, she hopes to gain important information and learn about the new aspects of this year's exam.
"I am a child from an ethnic minority group, and I come from a large family. This year I plan to study at Da Nang University of Education. My dream is to bring literacy out of the mountains. I want to be a 'role model' so that the children of my ethnic minority group can see the value of education. Only through education can they have the chance to escape poverty," Zơ Râm Thị Xu Xu confided.
Alăng Thị Thanh Tuyền (class 12/1, Quang Nam Provincial Ethnic Boarding High School) was even "luckier" as she was invited to directly ask questions to the advisory board.
Alang Thi Thanh Tuyen asked a question on the program.
According to Thanh Tuyen, she plans to study English language this year. Through this program, she had many questions answered regarding choosing a major and a university.
"As someone from an ethnic minority group with a difficult background, accessing the language has been very challenging. When I get into university, I will try my best to study and train well, and improve my knowledge so that when I graduate, I can return and pass on my knowledge to the younger generation in my local area," Thanh Tuyen said.
"Before I went to high school, my parents also advised me to study hard. Because only through education would I have a chance to escape poverty," Thanh Tuyen shared.
Mr. Tuong Thanh Hung, Deputy Principal of Quang Nam Provincial Ethnic Boarding High School, said that the school has 150 12th-grade students. After receiving information about the Exam Season Counseling program from Thanh Nien Newspaper, the school mobilized 100% of its students to participate.
"Only by listening in person can you fully understand the value of the program. It must be said that this is an extremely meaningful program for 12th-grade students in Quang Nam province in particular and the whole country in general. Here, all questions about majors and upcoming exams are answered in detail and specifically by the teachers," said Mr. Hung.
To avoid failing the university entrance exam, remember these important points.
According to Mr. Hung, Alang Thi Thanh Tuyen is an outstanding student who has excelled academically for three consecutive years at the school and won many awards in Quang Nam province. In addition, she is very active in school activities. "I believe Thanh Tuyen will be successful in the future," Mr. Hung said.
Nguyen Van Binh (12C class, Nguyen Trai High School - Hoi An) also found his own answer after listening directly to the experts' advice. "Through this program, I received advice from the teachers about my future field of study, which is information technology. I have grasped some basic information about the field I will be studying, making it easier to register without making mistakes," Binh shared.
