This year marks the first time the Vietnam Center for Maternal and Child Care Development Support (Newborns Vietnam), formerly known as Newborn Vietnam, has participated in the UpRace project. UpRace's support is expected to equip 120 Vietnamese lecturers and healthcare professionals with specialized resuscitation knowledge, helping to provide a chance of survival for 800,000 newborns. Mr. Nguyen Hoanh Tien, Chairman of the Vietnam Center for Maternal and Child Care Development Support, stated: “ Continuing and being inspired by Newborns Vietnam's collaboration with UpRace in 2020 and 2021, Newborns Vietnam is extremely excited to be a partner in UpRace 2024. ” We expect that this project will help strengthen community connections and raise awareness of the mission of Newborns Vietnam. The support and donations from organizations and individuals participating in UpRace will also strengthen the medical team, helping us to treat thousands of newborns across the country.” With the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund – this is the second consecutive year of partnership with UpRace after a very successful first year. This year's fund will continue to be used to realize the dreams of 8,000 ethnic minority and island students to attend school in the 2024-2025 academic year, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the 10th anniversary of the “For the Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa” Club. To increase the reach of the project, an "offline" UpRace Day running event will be held. UpRace 2024 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on October 13th, the largest event ever. Approximately 4,000 people are expected to participate in three distances: 5km, 10km, and 21km. Simultaneously, within the framework of UpRace 2024, partner universities will also implement many attractive accompanying activities, most notably the UpRace Day x Music Fes event at Ton Duc Thang University. UpRace also helped the Vietnam Biodiversity Conservation Center (GreenViet) to realize its project of planting 50 hectares of large timber trees in Hoa Bac commune (Da Nang City), where the Kơ Tu community lives. Over its 6-year history, UpRace has attracted more than 632,000 participants, contributing more than 31.8 billion VND to various causes. social organization.
