Implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program, up to now Nui Thanh has 28 OCOP products that have achieved provincial star rating. Of which, the product "Bird's Nest in a Jar" of Le Huynh Construction - Trade - Development Company Limited Branch (Tam Tien) has been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as achieving 4 stars.

The remaining OCOP products achieved 3-star provincial level, including in 2023 "Dried bird's nest" (Tam Tien), "Freeze-dried cordyceps", "Ut Anh cajuput essential oil" (Tam Anh Nam), "Co Chung fish sauce" (Tam Hai), "Tam Thanh hill chicken patties" (Tam Thanh).

In 2023, the People's Committee of Nui Thanh district will support 800 million VND in funding for OCOP product producers, ensuring 100% disbursement of the capital plan.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Linh - Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nui Thanh district said that in 2024, the locality will continue to develop forms of production and business organization (prioritizing the development of cooperatives and small and medium enterprises) to produce advantageous OCOP products, contributing to economic restructuring and increasing people's income.

In 2024, Nui Thanh will develop 6 new OCOP products with 3 stars or higher. Specifically, "Puffed sweet potato and vegetable cake" of Thuy Ha business household (Tam Tien), "Cordy cordyceps cake" of Tam Anh Nam Agricultural - Medicinal Herbs Cooperative, "VINACAKE Chung cake" of Tri Tin Thinh Company Limited (Tam Xuan 1), "Herbal chicken jerky" of Ho Giang Thom FARM Cooperative (Tam My Tay), "Freeze-dried yogurt" of Quang Nam Medicinal Herbs Joint Stock Company (Tam Xuan 1), "Hien Truong sausage" of Hien Truong sausage business household (Tam My Dong).

This year, Nui Thanh district also organized a re-evaluation of 9 out of 28 products that had achieved the OCOP star rating that had expired according to regulations.

To continue developing OCOP products, according to Vice Chairman of Nui Thanh District People's Committee Ngo Duc An, the locality prioritizes products using local materials to build OCOP products, focusing on building stable raw material areas, controlling the production process; prioritizes products using local labor, ensuring increased value, without negatively affecting the environment.

In particular, pay attention to instructing and supporting products manufactured according to VietGap, Global GAP, Organic, HACCP, ISO standards... Minimize fresh products and raw products that have not been pre-processed.

Nui Thanh also focuses on developing OCOP products in the direction of chain linkage; cooperation and linkage from production, preliminary processing to agricultural product consumption to increase value, meet market standards and demands.
