Tan Lac builds advanced new rural areas

Merged from Thanh Hoi, Tu Ne, Ngoc My, Dong Lai communes and Man Duc town into Tan Lac commune with a natural area of ​​nearly 140,000km2 and a population of over 42,000 people. This place has fundamental advantages in the process of building an advanced new rural commune when 4/4 communes previously established have completed the new rural program.

Internal breakthrough

In recent years, besides the development of industry, trade and services, agricultural production of Tan Lac commune plays a leading role, creating a new rural appearance and improving the quality of life of the people.

According to comrade Le Van Thach, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, the local Party Committee and government have focused on directing and leading the comprehensive and sustainable development of agriculture, restructuring the agricultural sector towards increasing added value. The locality maintains nearly 3,480 hectares of rice cultivation area with an average yield of 10.6 tons/ha/year. The area of ​​citrus fruit trees reaches 1,433 hectares, of which 1,146 hectares of fruit trees yield 24 tons/ha. The commune is known as the "capital" of the specialty red grapefruit growing area. In addition to supplying the domestic market, in 2022 and 2023, the commune exported 40 tons of specialty grapefruit to the European market. Currently, the commune has 7 OCOP products that meet 3-star standards.

Up to now, the commune has 184 enterprises, 32 cooperatives, 18 cooperative groups. The number of enterprises operating in the fields of agriculture, agricultural processing services, garment, knitting... is increasing, contributing to job creation and creating a stable source of income for the local budget.

This place is also known as the "capital" of the red grapefruit growing region, a specialty of Phu Tho province.

The patriotic emulation movement was promoted and spread widely among all levels of unions and people. In particular, the Commune Farmers' Association implemented 13 economic development models associated with new rural construction, typically the honey beekeeping model; the Women's Union built and implemented 22 models, 6 clubs, typically the models "Women's flag road"; "Each waste is a green tree", "Women's flower road", "Safe village for women and children"...

By 2025, the average income of people in the commune will reach nearly 52 million VND/year. The whole commune has 19 residential areas meeting new rural standards, the poverty rate has decreased to 3.8%.

Making Tan Lac a livable countryside

The 1st Congress of Tan Lac Commune Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, set out two breakthroughs: effectively implementing the construction of landscapes and residential environments in a green, clean, and beautiful direction associated with improving the quality of people's lives; promoting the development of the private economy, cooperative economy, applying science and technology to create favorable conditions to solve employment, increase income and promote socio-economic development, striving for the commune to meet advanced new rural standards by 2030.

To achieve the set goals, the commune is focusing on developing effective and sustainable agriculture in the direction of high-tech, organic and circular agriculture; strengthening the management and quality control of agricultural materials, plants and breeds; promoting the construction of production chains applying scientific and technical advances; promoting and promoting trade, supporting product consumption; building agricultural production models based on the potential and advantages of the locality. The commune has built 3 more OCOP products with 3 stars or more; bringing valuable, high-yielding plants and breeds into production, linking production with product consumption markets and granting planting area codes.

The National Target Program on New Rural Development is organized and implemented in a practical, in-depth, effective and sustainable manner, taking the people as the main subject, bringing about positive and clearer changes in the lifestyle of each area, hamlet, household and the direct life of each person living in rural areas. Along with that, the infrastructure system is focused on building, closely connecting the new rural construction with the urbanization process. Resources are mobilized, integrating programs and projects being invested in the area with the National Target Program on New Rural Development.

Some businesses in the commune create jobs and stable income for hundreds of local workers.

Overcoming difficulties and challenges, the commune has steadfastly pursued the goal of striving to build Tan Lac commune into a rich, beautiful, civilized, and livable countryside, in which the material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved; models of green, clean, beautiful and safe residential areas are effectively implemented; social security policies are well implemented; sustainable poverty reduction is associated with new rural construction, striving to increase people's income to 70 million VND/person/year; 100% of residential areas have no poor households; every year, over 90% of households meet cultural standards, 95.5% of the population participates in health insurance, the rate of solid and domestic waste collected and treated reaches 95%...
