VFF, VPF breathe a sigh of relief
In recent days, VFF and VPF have been continuously holding meetings revolving around the organization of Vietnam's professional football tournaments for the 2025/26 season. Things became complicated after Quang Nam Club withdrew from the tournament, forcing VFF and VPF to come up with many "firefighting" plans.
According to the resolution of the VFF Executive Committee, the V-League spot was given to only the First Division representative, with the priority being the runner-up of last season, Dong Nai Club (renamed from Binh Phuoc ), followed by PVF-CAND Club (ranked 3rd). However, Dong Nai Club refused to be promoted, and the V-League spot was given to PVF-CAND.

VFF and VPF breathed a sigh of relief when V-League 2025/26 had all 14 participating teams, however, preparations for the new season are in disarray. Due to only receiving promotion about 2 weeks before the opening day, PVF-CAND Club is rushing to install stand B of PVF Stadium ( Hung Yen ) and other items to meet the requirements of the tournament's Organizing Committee, AFC and FIFA. According to regulations, each football field hosting V-League must have at least 10,000 seats.
In addition, PVF-CAND Club also sent an official dispatch to VFF and VPF about being allowed to register the list of players to compete on August 7 (the teams had finalized the list on August 1). Of course, PVF-CAND's request was agreed because they were saving a visible goal for the tournament organizers.
Many "blockbusters" in the transfer market
Ninh Binh is the team that attracts the most attention in the transfer window before the 2025/26 season. This team has just completed the preparation of its force when recruiting Geovane Magno from Ha Tinh Club.
Previously, the Hoa Lu ancient capital team had the signatures of two overseas Vietnamese talents, Chung Nguyen Do (Tran Thanh Trung) and Evan Abram, along with quality rookies such as Duc Chien (The Cong Viettel), Chau Ngoc Quang, Dung Quang Nho, Bao Toan (HAGL), 3 foreign players Gustavo Henrique, Alfredo Pedraza and Victor Morales, combined with the star cast of Hoang Duc, Dang Van Lam...

Possessing a "dream team", Ninh Binh emerged as the leading candidate for the championship in V-League 2025/26. Hoang Duc and his teammates made their opponents unable to sit still.
CAHN has just announced the contract of Pham Ly Duc - a central defender of U23 Vietnam and played for HAGL last season. Before that, CAHN had the signature of overseas Vietnamese rookie Brandon Ly. This is one of the notable contracts of the police team preparing for the 2025/26 season.
With a star-studded squad like Nguyen Filip, Cao Quang Vinh, Dinh Trong, Bui Hoang Viet Anh, Quang Hai and the upcoming return of Doan Van Hau, CAHN not only aims to win the V-League but is also ready to conquer the continental playground next season.

The Cong Viettel also showed their determination to compete for the V-League championship. This team has just introduced Nguyen Van Viet, Dinh Xuan Tien, Dinh Viet Tu and Dang Van Tram, bringing the number of new recruits to 9. This is one of the seasons that the army team has bought the most players.
In addition to the above teams, the V-League championship race cannot fail to mention the defending champion Nam Dinh Steel and Hanoi FC. While Hanoi FC still ensures its force thanks to good training, the team from the South has recruited a series of quality domestic and foreign players to prepare to participate in up to 5 arenas next season.
Thus, although the 2025/26 V-League has not yet started, there are at least 5 teams aiming to win the championship. Meanwhile, the remaining teams are also best prepared in terms of personnel because next season there are 2 direct relegation spots, so the relegation race is considered equally tense.
