Russian cancer vaccine ready for use

Russia's Federal Medical and Biological Agency recently announced that its cancer vaccine has passed preclinical trials and is currently awaiting approval for use from the Russian Ministry of Health.

According to the Federal Agency for Health and Biological Sciences of Russia, studies have demonstrated the safety of the vaccine, including its repeated use, and its high efficacy in reducing tumor size and significantly slowing its growth (potentially by 60-80%).

The new vaccine is expected to be used for colorectal cancer. The Federal Agency for Health and Biological Sciences of Russia is also finalizing the development of a vaccine against glioblastoma – one of the most malignant tumors, with barrier tumors located behind the blood-brain barrier in the brain structure, and specific types of melanoma.
