It is still possible to standardize information when mobile subscription is locked

Since March 31, telecommunications networks have begun to implement one-way service blocking for mobile subscribers who have not standardized their information. After 15 days (April 15), two-way service blocking will occur and the phone number will be revoked after 30 days from the two-way blocking if the subscriber information is not standardized.

However, when the one-way communication service is locked, subscribers can still call the network operator's switchboard for free to get support. Users can continue to standardize information through the application, website platform or go directly to the network operator's stores and agents to reopen the service. Viettel 's customer support switchboard is 198, VinaPhone's is 18001091, MobiFone 's is 18001090. In case the subscriber's two-way service is locked, users need to go to the network operator's transaction points nationwide to get support to standardize information .

Faced with the fact that the number of people visiting network stores has increased in recent days, but among them are many subscribers who are not subject to information standardization, the Department of Telecommunications ( Ministry of Information and Communications ) has affirmed that only subscribers who receive text messages need to update, because the information does not match the national database on population. In the case of using non-owner subscribers, registering with old documents such as ID cards but matching the database will not be subject to standardization this time.

Therefore, people should not panic, avoid being taken advantage of by bad guys to scam. Viettel network representative said that there are currently many people making calls impersonating state management agencies asking people to provide personal information, OTP codes to standardize subscriber information, if not, the phone will be locked. Viettel recommends that customers absolutely do not provide OTP codes over the phone, only follow the instructions in the text message (the text message displays VIETTEL) and calls from Viettel's official channels.

According to Mr. Nguyen Phong Nha, Deputy Director of the Department of Telecommunications, reviewing and standardizing subscriber information of mobile telecommunications service users to ensure that it matches the information in the national database on population is a necessary activity; there must be participation and coordination of state management agencies, enterprises and people to contribute to stabilizing social order; promptly prevent and handle acts of using phone subscribers with incorrect registration information to commit fraudulent acts, false advertising, lack of culture, contrary to traditional customs... The Department of Telecommunications requires network operators to resolutely stop the activities of subscribers with incorrect information. However, in the process of implementation, it is necessary to ensure the rights of users, avoid affecting subscribers with correct information; at the same time, create favorable conditions for service users in coordinating to standardize subscriber information. Subscribers can check their mobile subscription information by texting TTTB to 1414, and the network operators will provide information about the subscription status.
