18 candidates who failed the university entrance exam inexplicably... passed

(Dan Tri) - After days of sadness because he was inexplicably informed that he failed 100% of his university applications, candidate Le Minh Quang, from Dong Thap, was named on the list of successful candidates.

Reflecting to Dan Tri newspaper on the afternoon of August 26, candidate Le Minh Quang, a student at Tam Nong High School, Dong Thap, said that he had failed the university entrance exam as he had registered for.

Specifically, Quang's name was on the newly announced list of additional admissions for the first round of Ho Chi Minh City Open University - this is the fourth choice, the choice that this male student passed in this year's university entrance exam.

Quang was admitted to Ho Chi Minh City Open University according to the list transferred from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.

Thus, Quang's "wrongful admission" to Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and "stuck" in the system was resolved so that he was admitted in the correct order of his wishes.

However, Quang said that when he looked it up on the Ministry of Education and Training 's system, he still received the result that he failed all his wishes.

According to information from Ho Chi Minh City Open University, the school has added 18 candidates from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education to the list of first-round successful candidates.

According to the school, candidates whose names are on the above list will complete admission procedures from 2:00 p.m. on August 26, without needing to confirm admission on the Ministry of Education and Training's information portal.

As Dan Tri reported, Le Minh Quang scored 25.56 points, including regional priority points. With this result, according to the schools' announced standard scores, Quang failed his first three choices and was admitted to his fourth choice, Law at Ho Chi Minh City Open University, with a score of 24.7.

However, when looking up the Open University system, Quang was "wrongly admitted" to Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University even though his score was lower than the standard score. This led to the situation where Quang was not confirmed to be admitted to Ho Chi Minh City Open University.

On the Ministry's system, this male student looked it up and received the result that he failed all his wishes.

It is known that Ho Chi Minh City University of Education has reviewed the admission list and found that there are cases where candidates did not meet the standard score but were on the admission list and vice versa.

Considering this was a technical error and to ensure maximum benefits for candidates, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education has sent a dispatch requesting the Ministry of Education and Training to create conditions for candidates to continue the admission process and requesting support from relevant universities.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education has worked with each university to handle and resolve legitimate rights for candidates.
