Encourage people to participate in health insurance after the support period expires

TTH.VN - The People's Committee of Nam Dong district has just issued a notice directing the People's Committees of Huong Son, Thuong Lo, Thuong Nhat, Thuong Quang communes and the district's Social Insurance (SI) to urgently deploy solutions to mobilize people to participate in health insurance (HI) after the support period expires.

Previously, in December 2022, the provincial Social Insurance mobilized benefactors to support 564 health insurance cards (from January 2023 to the end of June 2023) for ethnic minorities in the above 4 communes because they no longer enjoy the health insurance card policy according to Decision No. 961 of the Prime Minister . However, as of May 30, 2023, the number of people renewing their cards is still very low, with only 32 people, accounting for 0.06%.

In order to promptly mobilize people who have been supported with the above-mentioned health insurance cards to continue participating in order to ensure continuous benefits, the People's Committee of Nam Dong district requested the district Social Insurance to provide a list of due payment deadlines for the above 4 communes, and at the same time coordinate in propagating and mobilizing people to participate. After receiving the list from the district Social Insurance agency, the People's Committees of the communes urgently reviewed, actively mobilized and assigned specific targets for mobilizing people to participate to each association, union, village, and group; proactively coordinated with the district Social Insurance agency in propagating to the people to strive for 100% of people who have been supported with health insurance cards to continue participating.
