Van Ninh: Urgently develop a plan to arrange and provide water surface for people to raise aquatic products in the designated area.

According to the report of Van Ninh District People's Committee, in the district there are 1,284 aquaculture households with 1,647 rafts, 42,498 cages for raising lobsters, marine fish, and oysters. Of which, there are 1,456 rafts with 32,794 cages of households that are assigned sea areas for aquaculture and 5 rafts with 230 cages of people in Ninh Hoa town, Nha Trang city; 186 rafts with 9,474 cages of people outside the province. In the past time, the locality focused on handling cases of aquaculture that did not comply with regulations, handling 74 oyster rafts with an area of ​​2.8 hectares and 21.5 hectares of oyster buoys in the communes of Van Hung, Van Luong, Van Thang and Van Gia town. The locality has also issued a document requesting localities outside the district and province to coordinate in mobilizing aquaculture farmers to relocate their cages to their locality or voluntarily dismantle them... In the transition to high-tech marine farming, the locality is currently mobilizing 10 households to participate in expanding the high-tech marine farming model from the support fund of Thien Tam Fund ( Vingroup ), so far 8 households have registered to participate.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment requested the People's Committee of Van Ninh district to direct local authorities to resolutely implement the instructions of the Provincial People's Committee on strengthening the management of aquaculture activities at sea; to propagate in many forms so that people can specifically grasp the regulations related to aquaculture; to urgently develop a plan to organize and arrange and provide sea water for aquaculture people in planning areas; to regularly inspect and handle cases of aquaculture that do not comply with regulations... The locality needs to urgently mobilize households to participate in the high-tech marine farming model from the support fund of Thien Tam Fund (Vingroup).
