World gold price today October 13, 2024 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,656.57 USD/Ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 0.68 USD/Ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate, on the free market (25,340 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 82.56 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 2.43 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
World gold prices are recovering, increasing for the second time after 6 previous decreases. Domestic gold ring prices are increasing, currently at 83.55 million VND/tael, 200,000 VND lower than the old record. The highest gold ring purchase price is 82.55 million VND/tael, down 350,000 VND compared to the previous peak.
World gold prices rose more than 1% this week, as US economic data supported expectations that the Fed would cut interest rates in November. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East increased demand for gold as a safe asset.
RJO Futures expert Daniel Pavilonis said that despite the strong US economy, the Fed could cut interest rates due to the slowdown in some economic sectors.
US producer prices were unchanged in September 2024, increasing the likelihood of a Fed rate cut in November.
Kitco Metals analyst Jim Wyckoff predicts the Fed could cut interest rates two more times this year.
Expert Pavilonis predicts that gold prices could reach $3,000/ounce by 2025 due to the impact of geopolitical tensions and inflation concerns.
