The new Sun Park is located on the "golden land" of Tay Ho district ( Hanoi ). After many years of closure, its facilities have seriously degraded.

The new Sun Park is about 1.7 hectares wide, located in the West Lake Water Park complex. According to Dan Tri reporter, a part of the new Sun Park is being leveled and renovated to change its purpose of use.

Previously, the New Sun Park was a favorite destination for locals and tourists and a symbol of West Lake, but now from afar you can clearly see the degradation and squalor of this park.

The park is located in the cultural, artistic and culinary space street of Tay Ho district.

According to information from the Ministry of Finance 's public property page, since January 2024, many outdoor game equipment of the new Sun Park have been put up for auction. At the end of July 2024, a batch of steel materials recovered from the dismantling of 8 outdoor game equipment in this park was auctioned with a total starting price of more than 2 billion VND.

Many items around the park are rusty and degraded.

Due to long-term disuse and lack of cleaning, the park is filled with trash and overgrown with grass.

It is known that West Lake Water Park will continue to operate but the new Sun Park will be converted for business purposes.

The highlight of the new Sun Park is the giant Ferris wheel about 50m high, which after many years of disuse has become rusty and damaged.

With the current situation of Hanoi lacking green space, public space, and outdoor playgrounds, the fact that the Sun Park has just stopped operating and is left abandoned and shabby is an extremely wasteful and regrettable thing for the people.
