Why do many people in Kim Thanh district take the law exam?

At the end of the first round of the 2023 online legal knowledge contest, the Kim Thanh District Legal Education and Dissemination Coordination Council ( Hai Duong ) won the first prize in the province. This is the second consecutive year that the district has won the first prize in the contest and has the largest number of participants in the province.

Model participation

Phuc Thanh Commune is one of the localities with the largest number of participants in the online legal knowledge contest in Kim Thanh District. Immediately after the plan from the superiors, the Commune Party Committee issued a resolution to lead and direct the organization to participate in the contest. The Commune People's Committee widely deployed it to members of the Commune Law Dissemination and Education Coordination Council, associations, unions, socio- political organizations, units, and schools.

In particular, Phuc Thanh commune requires 100% of the members of the Commune Legal Education Coordination Council to participate in the competition and considers this as one of the criteria for evaluating the quarterly and annual emulation rankings. Mr. Tran Van Huy, Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Committee, Chairman of the Phuc Thanh Commune Legal Education Coordination Council, said that despite being very busy with work, he has been proactive and exemplary in participating in all competitions organized by his superiors. Not only Mr. Huy but also 100% of the cadres and civil servants of Phuc Thanh commune, heads of socio-political organizations, units and schools in the commune participated in the competition.

The Kim Thanh district education sector is the core force participating in the contest. In 2022, through 2 rounds of launching the contest, the district education sector had more than 6,000 cadres, teachers, and students in grades 8 and 9 participating, accounting for 66.75% of the total number of participants in the district. In the first round of this year's contest, the entire district education sector had more than 1,700 cadres and teachers participating, an increase of nearly 300 people compared to the first round in 2022. In the sector, there were a number of individuals who won high prizes such as teacher Tang Thi Thu Ha, a teacher at Co Dung Commune Kindergarten, who won first prize in the first round and consolation prize in the second round.

To achieve the above results, the Department of Education and Training of Kim Thanh district directed schools to actively participate in the contest; regularly monitor the progress of each school's participation; publicly announce the number of participants of each school on the Zalo group of school leaders. Schools also organize propaganda to teachers and students in meetings, flag salutes, class activities or in civic education classes... Teachers of schools also integrate the content of questions with lessons so that students can better understand difficult questions, integrate questions with answers with situations in life so that students can discuss and come up with the most accurate answers.

Assign specific targets

Mr. Nguyen Danh Du, an expert from the Office of the People's Council - People's Committee of Kim Thanh district, has participated in the contest for 3 consecutive years. Mr. Du said that each contest has a different topic and is very close to daily life such as learning about the law on labor and employment, preventing drugs, prostitution, human trafficking, preventing child abuse... According to Mr. Du, if you do not learn and research, it will be very difficult to have answers that are in accordance with the law. Therefore, the contest is an opportunity for each participant to self-study and learn about the regulations and legal policies, thereby effectively reaching the people.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Huan, Head of the Justice Department of Kim Thanh district, said that the district has strengthened the leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the government, the participation of departments, branches and organizations, considering the contest as a task of the locality and unit. The district regularly propagates and mobilizes cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, youth union members and people to participate. Propaganda work is promoted through the radio system, information portals of the district and communes; Zalo groups, Facebook fanpages such as Kim Thanh Connection, Kim Thanh Legal Education and Dissemination, Kim Thanh Online Law, etc.

Kim Thanh district also assigned specific targets to each unit and locality, linking the responsibility of the head of the local Party Committee and government with the results of the competition. At the end of each competition, the Kim Thanh district's Law Education and Dissemination Coordination Council summarizes, evaluates and commends the units that have done well, and criticizes and reminds the units that have not been active...

In 2022, Kim Thanh district had more than 4,000 people participating in the exam, an increase of about 1,500 people compared to 2021. In the first round of 2023 alone, the whole district had more than 2,500 participants. In 2022 and the first round of 2023, Kim Thanh district was always the leading locality in the province in terms of the number of participants.
