[Video] Adjusting regulations on overtime pay for teachers

According to the draft, preschool teachers will be paid according to the overtime regulations in the Labor Code, while teachers at other levels will be paid a maximum of 150 hours of extra teaching per year. In case of having to teach overtime due to a lack of teachers, the head of theeducational institution must report to the competent management agency for consideration of payment.

The Ministry of Education and Training also proposed a reasonable division of tasks to avoid the situation where the same school has teachers who are overloaded and teachers who teach less hours. In addition, it added clear regulations on the responsibility for paying extra teaching salaries for teachers on secondment or inter-school teaching.
