[Video] Urgently deploying the campaign to build 100 schools for border communes

On the evening of July 27, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting with ministries and sectors on the implementation of the campaign to build schools for border communes according to Notice No. 81-TB/TW of the Politburo. The goal is to complete the construction of 100 boarding and semi-boarding schools for students and teachers in border communes in the mainland by August 30, 2026.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training , there are currently more than 273,000 students in 248 border communes who have not studied in the boarding and semi-boarding system. This campaign aims to meet the learning and living requirements of students, ensuring fairness in access to education.

The Prime Minister emphasized the requirement of “speed and boldness”, the design must make the most of natural conditions, be suitable for the region and terrain, and avoid concretization; each school needs 5-10 hectares, with areas for growing vegetables and raising livestock. The Ministry of Education and Training is assigned to complete the draft of the Government Resolution before August 10, 2025.

The Prime Minister requested to mobilize the strength of the entire political system, combining state resources with the support of the army, police, businesses and people. At the same time, he directed the Ministry of Finance to arrange investment capital in a timely manner, and localities must proactively donate land, prepare infrastructure, and ensure the progress and quality of the project.
