[Video] Free and supported tuition fees: Investing in children's future

On the morning of June 16, at the 9th Session, the National Assembly discussed two Draft Resolutions on policies on tuition exemption and support and universal preschool education for children aged 3-5.

Ministerof Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son said that the State is expected to spend about 30,000 billion VND to exempt and support tuition fees for preschool children, high school students and those studying general education programs in the national system.

This policy aims to ensure the right to education, improve access to education and reduce the financial burden on families, especially in mountainous and remote areas.

To apply in time from the 2025-2026 school year, the National Assembly proposed that the Ministry of Education and Training soon issue a Decree regulating tuition fee frameworks, decentralization, and clear delegation of authority between two levels of local authorities.
