Vietnam won many big prizes at the international information technology competition for people with disabilities.

The Vietnamese team has won three major awards at the Global IT Challenge for Youth with Disabilities 2025 (GITC 2025) held in Ulsan, South Korea.

The competition will be held from October 28 to November 1, 2025, within the framework of sideline activities of the Asia -Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC 2025).

The GITC is an annual international event for young people with disabilities, held since 2011, to promote digital skills, creativity and social inclusion through information technology. This year, the competition attracted about 1,700 young people with disabilities from 20 countries.

The Vietnamese team won 3 awards, specifically: Le Thi Uyen Nhi won the Super Challenge Award and the Excellent e-Combination Award, and the Vietnamese GITC Team won the Contribution Award.

This achievement not only affirms the capacity and spirit of efforts of Vietnamese disabled youth, but also contributes to honoring the image of a dynamic, creative and determined Vietnam in the international arena.

Full of joy after receiving the Outstanding Conqueror Award and Second Prize in General IT Application, Le Thi Uyen Nhi shared: “Participating in the GITC 2025 Competition is an unforgettable journey for me. The two awards I received are not only a source of personal pride, but also proof that technology can open doors for everyone – regardless of physical or financial differences. I hope that young Vietnamese people will always dare to dream, dare to step out to connect and conquer the world .”

Ms. Ngo Thi Huyen Minh - General Director of Nghi Luc Song Joint Stock Company - a pioneering social enterprise in free vocational training and employment support for people with disabilities said: "For us, GITC is not only a competition, but also a bridge to foster friendship between countries - where we develop together and look towards the future. With the mission of "No one is left behind", Nghi Luc Song Company has been helping thousands of people with disabilities nationwide have the opportunity to study, work and assert themselves, contributing to promoting an inclusive and humane digital society."

It is known that in 2026, Vietnam will host the GITC Competition. Sharing more about this, Ms. Ngo Thi Huyen Minh said: "We are extremely proud that Vietnam was chosen as the host country of GITC 2026. This is a great opportunity for us to continue spreading the spirit of determination, technology and integration. We will do our best to bring a successful GITC 2026, memorable for international friends and full of pride for Vietnam".
