Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that, after more than six decades of friendly cooperation, Vietnam always remembers Algeria's support and assistance.

The Prime Minister was moved and proud of the special affection that the Algerian people have for Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh when his name was given to two major avenues in the capital Algiers and Oran province.

Algerian Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb praised President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic history of the Vietnamese people. Vietnam is a source of inspiration for the Algerian people's independence revolution.

Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb emphasized that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit is a defining visit for the relationship between the two countries.

The two Prime Ministers were moved to share their pride in the past struggle for independence, which served as role models and a source of encouragement for revolutionary movements around the world and also served as a foundation for strengthening bilateral relations to overcome all obstacles and difficulties.

The two leaders emphasized that the connection between history and the present, and solidarity in the past, present and forever in the future are the foundation for building two strong countries.

With an exceptional relationship, based on similarities and complementarities, economic and trade cooperation and the business communities of the two countries are facing wide-open opportunities.

Algeria is ready to create the most favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses and act as a gateway to enhance economic cooperation with Africa.

The Algerian Prime Minister affirmed the determination of the Algerian Government, under the direction of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to maintain and promote the traditional relations and friendly cooperation between the two countries.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that Vietnam always values ​​the traditional friendship and solidarity, and close brotherly ties between the two countries.

In that spirit, the two sides agreed to upgrade bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership, affirming that they will strengthen the political foundation and mutual understanding as well as expand cooperation.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh made proposals to promote and deepen bilateral relations. In the current context, the two countries need to "unite for strength - cooperate for benefits - dialogue for trust" and with the motto "listen together, understand together, believe together, act together, develop together".

The Prime Minister asked Algeria to continue paying attention to and supporting the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group (Petrovietnam) to expand its investment and operate stably and effectively, contributing more positively to Algeria's development and becoming a symbol of success for bilateral cooperation.

The Prime Minister also suggested that the two countries promote investment cooperation, open markets for each other's strong products, and increase trade exchanges...

Along with that, the two sides continue to organize many cultural exchange and educational activities about historical traditions to honor previous generations and further strengthen the close friendship and solidarity.

The Prime Minister also suggested that the two sides actively establish subcommittees for cooperation in science and technology, digital transformation, healthcare, education and training, and labor cooperation.

The two sides agreed to continue to coordinate and support each other at multilateral forums of which Vietnam and Algeria are both members, especially at the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement, and together promote South-South cooperation.

The Algerian Prime Minister agreed with the proposals of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, pledging to direct Algerian agencies to closely coordinate with Vietnam to effectively implement commitments and cooperation orientations.

Immediately after the talks, the two Prime Ministers adopted a Joint Statement upgrading the bilateral relationship to a Strategic Partnership and witnessed the signing of cooperation documents.

Also today, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife laid a wreath at the Algerian Martyrs' Memorial and visited the Algerian National Veterans Museum.
