Vietjet comes to people in flood-hit areas

Vietjet staff were present in the flood-affected areas to directly deliver essential goods to the people, promptly contributing to helping people overcome difficulties.

Immediately after launching the program to join hands to support people affected by storms and floods, on September 12, Vietjet delegation went to the people of Ham Yen district ( Tuyen Quang ), coordinated with Ham Yen district Farmers' Association to visit and give gifts to many households. Ham Yen is one of the districts that suffered heavy damage with hundreds of houses flooded, more than 1,500 houses isolated, nearly 1,000 hectares of crops flooded and swept away by floods. The estimated damage to the whole district is up to 36 billion VND.

After many days of isolation and being submerged in water, the people of Ham Yen have begun to clean up their houses, overcome the damage and return to normal life. The district has also mobilized cadres and soldiers and established volunteer teams to support each household in repairing their houses. Relief goods were received at the district's reception points and distributed to households.

Thanks to that, in just 2 days, Vietjet has been able to bring more than 5 tons of goods to the North so that charitable organizations can continue to receive and transport them to the provinces," Mr. Hoa said. On social networks, many accounts have posted images of aid shipments transported free of charge by Vietjet. Duong Nguyen, a member of the charity group "Warmth", said that thanks to the support of many people, the group was able to buy 3,000 bags of fresh porridge and thanks to Vietjet's quick free delivery, the porridge reached the children in the northern highlands. Anna shared: "500 essential food packages: bread, condensed milk, sausages, panadol were carefully vacuum-packed to reach the flood-hit areas. Thank you so much Vietjet for helping me in every way quickly and for free". Mr. Vu Quang Xuyen, captain of the Vietjet cargo team at Tan Son Nhat airport, said that every time he received relief goods, he felt honored to be able to contribute a small part of his strength to support the people, and was also proud that Vietjet transported relief goods for free during this period.
