Vietjet and Rolls-Royce signed an order for 40 more Trent 7000 engines for the A330neo fleet.
In addition, Vietjet continues to choose the TotalCare®️ comprehensive engine maintenance service, which helps optimize operating efficiency and extend the engine's operating cycle.
Speaking about this important event, Mr. Rob Watson, President of Rolls-Royce Civil Aviation, emphasized: “Today’s commitment to order 40 additional Trent 7000 engines demonstrates the airline’s confidence in the combination of the Trent 7000 engine and the A330neo aircraft.
The extraordinary flexibility of this aircraft and engine combination allows airlines to serve a wide range of markets and optimise fleet adaptability. Our £1 billion investment in Trent engine uptime enables the Trent 7000 to be upgraded, in some cases, to triple the uptime. Developed specifically for the A330neo, the Trent 7000 is Rolls-Royce’s latest generation of advanced engines, incorporating significant improvements in fuel efficiency, noise and durability. To date, the engine has logged over 3 million flight hours with outstanding performance.
The signing ceremony between Vietjet and Rolls-Royce took place at the 2025 Paris Air Show.
TotalCare is a premium engine service designed by Rolls-Royce that links maintenance costs to operational time. This service package is supported by Rolls-Royce's advanced engine monitoring system, helping to increase operational readiness, reliability and operational efficiency for airlines.
Vietjet is operating more than 130 new generation, fuel-efficient aircraft and has ordered more than 400 aircraft. This fleet serves Vietjet's plan to expand its flight network throughout the Asia- Pacific region, and new long-haul routes to Europe and the US in the near future.
