On the morning of December 9, a representative of Vietnam Airlines said that the airline will receive three new aircraft this December, including a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner and two Airbus A320neo aircraft. The three newly received aircraft will provide more than 100,000 seats for the peak Tet holiday of 2025.

Accordingly, Vietnam Airlines received an A320neo with registration number VN-A515 on December 7 and a Boeing 787-10 with registration number VN-A877 on December 8. It is expected that at the end of December, the airline will continue to receive another Airbus A320neo with registration number VN-A514.

Vietjet has just received its latest new generation aircraft A321neo ACF (Airbus Cabin Flex) which landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City after a journey from the Airbus factory in Hamburg, Germany.

This is the 111th member to join Vietjet's world -leading modern fleet.

In addition to the newly received aircraft, Vietjet also said it plans to short-term wet lease 6-10 more aircraft during Tet to best serve the peak travel demand of people and tourists.

Similarly, Vietravel Airlines and Bamboo Airways are also making efforts to add more aircraft.

Previously, Vietnam Airlines opened early sales of 2.15 million seats, equivalent to more than 11,000 flights across its domestic flight network to serve passengers' demand for Tet tickets.

The increased flights focus on routes serving the needs of family reunions and spring travel during Tet such as between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Vinh; between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, Hai Phong, Hue, Thanh Hoa, Quy Nhon, Pleiku, Chu Lai, Dong Hoi, Vinh...

According to airlines, the addition of additional tickets and the possibility of increasing frequencies were calculated before receiving the aircraft to Vietnam.

Based on customer demand, the airline continues to make recommendations to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to plan to increase frequencies and open ticket sales in the next phase. Vietnam Airlines estimates that the three newly received aircraft will provide more than 100,000 seats for the peak Tet holiday of 2025.

However, according to many customers, airfares continue to be high, with some routes during peak times being "sold out", especially provincial flights.

Although airlines have provided 7 million tickets, statistics from the management agency show that airfares close to Tet have increased by about 20% compared to normal days. Meanwhile, records on many flights show that airfares during Tet have doubled compared to normal days.
