Founding shareholders withdraw all capital
Accordingly, the value of this deal is determined to be less than 10% of the total assets of the enterprise (equivalent to a total asset level of more than VND 3,130 billion at the end of the third quarter of 2025). After the transaction is completed, Vietravel will completely end its executive role at the airline it founded in 2019.

The divestment of Vietravel is an important legal step for Vietravel Airlines to completely separate itself from the original tourism ecosystem. According to the plan, this airline will switch to a new brand name to reposition itself in the market and ensure transparency and independence in operations. Although the current largest shareholder, T&T Group, has not announced a replacement name, the brand "Vietravel Airlines" will no longer be used in the near future.
The airline's shareholder structure in the new phase will include legal entities such as T&T Airlines, T&T SuperPort, BVIM Fund and a number of individual investors. Currently, the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors is held by Mr. Do Vinh Quang. Notably, the identity of the partner receiving the final capital transfer from Vietravel has not been announced. However, the market has previously reported information related to AirAsia negotiating to buy back shares (according to Bloomberg in October 2025), creating comments about the possibility of the Malaysian low-cost airline returning to the Vietnamese market through this deal.
Move headquarters to Hanoi
Along with the process of changing the ownership structure, Vietravel Airlines has planned to move its headquarters from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi. Specifically, the current headquarters at 01 Bach Dang, Truong Son Street, Ho Chi Minh City will be moved to a new address at 172 Ngoc Khanh, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi. The relocation process is expected to take place from December 28, 2025 to January 4, 2026. The airline representative said that locating the headquarters in Hanoi helps optimize operations, strengthen the technical system, human resources and prepare the foundation for a new growth phase.
Regarding the long-term orientation, after completing the name change and stabilizing the organization, the airline will focus on developing its fleet and increasing the frequency of international flights.
By 2030, the airline aims to have a fleet of 30 to 50 aircraft, while expanding its flight network across Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia and the Middle East. This is considered a necessary step to improve competitiveness in the context of a recovering and fiercely competitive regional aviation market.
