Vingroup hands over exhibition space for socio-economic achievements to celebrate 80th National Day

On June 27, 2025, Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center Joint Stock Company - a member of Vingroup Corporation, handed over the premises of Vietnam Exhibition Center to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

After nearly 10 months of rapid construction, the project has established its position in the top 10 largest exhibition center complexes in the world and the largest in Southeast Asia, ready for the Socio -Economic Achievement Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

The ceremony of handing over the site for the "Exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day" was witnessed by Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Head of the Exhibition Steering Committee and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee.

Attending the handover ceremony of the site for the "Exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day" were Mr. Mai Van Chinh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Exhibition Steering Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism , Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee, along with leaders of Central Committees, Ministries, Branches, representatives of relevant agencies and organizations.

Vietnam Exhibition Center is located on Truong Sa Street, Dong Hoi and Xuan Canh Communes, Dong Anh, Hanoi, built to become a destination for national and international political - economic - cultural - tourism events, acting as a driving force to promote the development of the modern exhibition economy in Vietnam.

The complex consists of many items, of which the two most important items were handed over ahead of schedule after only nearly 10 months of construction: Kim Quy Exhibition Hall and the outdoor exhibition area. The remaining items such as the permanent exhibition center, the international standard conference and wedding center, etc. are being completed according to the requirements of the Steering Committee and will be handed over to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on July 15, 2025.

Speaking at the site handover ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Head of the Exhibition Steering Committee, said: “This is not only a project with technical and spatial organization value, but also a cultural project of special significance, worthy of the region and the world - a symbol of the spirit of innovation, development and aspiration to rise in the new era. On behalf of the Government and the Prime Minister, I warmly commend and appreciate the efforts of Vingroup Corporation in the past time. The Corporation has seriously implemented the Prime Minister's direction with the spirit of turning the impossible into possible. Thanks to that, the project has been constructed at lightning speed, so far exceeding the set schedule."

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Head of the Exhibition Steering Committee, praised Vingroup for its lightning-fast construction, exceeding the set schedule.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, Head of the Exhibition Organizing Committee, commented: “Vingroup has coordinated with Hanoi capital and related ministries and branches to mobilize resources to build the Vietnam Exhibition Center according to high technical standards. Exactly two days ago, the General Secretary visited and encouraged, praised and acknowledged. As a State management agency in the field of exhibitions, we highly appreciate the Group's tireless efforts to have a large-scale project and be in the top 10 in the world in terms of area and scale, in terms of architecture and design. We are very touched that the Group is willing to invite experienced international consultants to jointly build the overall design, coordination and operation of the exhibition. This is an unprecedented task, which can only be done quickly and effectively through the companionship of businesses. Vingroup has made a silent contribution to the country.”

The exhibition of socio-economic achievements in celebration of the 80th anniversary of National Day will be held from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the main area of ​​the Kim Quy Exhibition House, a symbolic building associated with the legend of the Kim Quy god of the sacred land of Co Loa. This is also the largest circular exhibition house in the world with a total area of ​​104,863 m2 and a height of over 56m.

The exhibition hall has a majestic and sturdy structure, with a floor load capacity of up to 5 tons/m2, which can well meet the display of large equipment and machinery. In particular, the dome is designed massively with 24,000 tons of steel, with a safety factor twice as high as usual, using lightweight, super durable, translucent fiberglass fabric, meeting the green architecture standards, saving energy of global-scale projects.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup Corporation also shared: “After completion, the Vietnam Exhibition Center will become a destination for global events, international conference centers, art festivals and cultural exchanges. From here, a new era of the modern exhibition industry will be launched, similar to successful models in many countries around the world, contributing to transforming soft capacity into economic strength, enhancing the position of Hanoi and Vietnam on the regional and international map”.

In terms of functionality, Kim Quy Exhibition Hall is planned into 9 halls, with an area of ​​9,419m2 - 10,478m2. The halls are intelligently designed, can be opened to create the second largest interconnected exhibition space in the world or separated into independent zones, allowing the organizer to be flexible and optimize the exhibition space. Each hall is integrated with ancillary services such as coffee shops, restaurants, and functional rooms, meeting all the needs of exhibitors and customers.

Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) has a total area of ​​900,000 m2, a design scale of up to 304,000 m2 of indoor exhibition area, ranked in the top 10 largest exhibition center complexes in the world and the largest in Southeast Asia.

Handed over on the same day as Kim Quy Exhibition House is an outdoor exhibition area with a total area of ​​over 200,000 m2 - Top 3 in the world in terms of outdoor exhibition scale, suitable for events, exhibitions, large-scale cultural and tourism festivals as well as organizing many activities at the same time. In particular, the North Stadium is designed for large music festivals with a capacity of up to 50,000 spectators, with ideal infrastructure conditions to organize world-class concerts.

Along with Kim Quy Exhibition House and Outdoor Exhibition Area - the remaining areas such as Permanent Exhibition Center, International Standard Conference and Wedding Center... are being urgently completed according to the requirements of the Steering Committee to ensure complete infrastructure for the Exhibition of Socio-Economic Achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) has a total area of ​​900,000 m2, a design scale of up to 304,000 m2 of indoor exhibition area, an internal traffic system and an outdoor parking area of ​​up to nearly 18 hectares, providing more than 10,000 parking spaces; the loading bay has a length and width of 5m - 10m, helping trucks and containers easily access the exhibition halls, ensuring that the preparation for the exhibition takes place smoothly.

The completion and handover of the world's leading large-scale complex in less than 10 months of construction has affirmed Vingroup's reputation and ability to implement quality and speed in the field of infrastructure; opening up the most prosperous "Expo city" in Southeast Asia in the future, contributing to raising Vietnam's position in the era of national development.
