On October 15, Vingroup Corporation sent a document to the Hanoi People's Committee proposing to participate in investing in the construction of the Tu Lien Bridge project under the form of a Build-Transfer contract (BT contract) according to the provisions of the Capital Law.
Perspective of Tu Lien bridge in the future.
With experience in investing in construction of traffic infrastructure projects such as the project to build an elevated road along Ring Road 2, from Vinh Tuy Bridge to Nga Tu So, Vingroup commits to completing Tu Lien Bridge on schedule and with quality.
Previously, Vingroup reported to the Government on the progress of completing the investment plan to build the National Exhibition Fair Center project in Dong Hoi commune and Xuan Canh commune, Dong Anh district in July 2025 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Together with the National Exhibition Fair Center, the operation of Tu Lien Bridge will contribute to meeting the large flow of domestic and international tourists attending fairs and exhibitions, promoting economic trade in the area north of the Red River as well as neighboring areas of the Capital.
Tu Lien Bridge project is one of the key traffic projects of Hanoi city, included in the Transport Planning to 2030, vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister.
The project connects the west bank of the Red River along Au Co - Nghi Tam route in Yen Phu and Tu Lien wards (Tay Ho district) with the east bank of the Red River in Dong Anh district, and directly connects the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway and Ring Road 3.
Currently, the west bank of the Red River is the main belt road connecting Nhat Tan Bridge with Long Bien Bridge, Chuong Duong, so it is under great traffic pressure. When put into operation, Tu Lien Bridge will not only share the pressure with existing bridges but also increase the efficiency of traffic flow, while minimizing congestion on main roads.
According to the approved design, Tu Lien is a cable-stayed bridge, combining torsion beams, creating large spans with a light steel frame system, two main bridge piers are shaped, expected to become a new symbol of Hanoi. The bridge span is 1,000m long, the distance between piers is 500m, the top of the tower is 158m high, and can withstand earthquakes of level 8.
Tu Lien Bridge is 2.9km long, the main bridge is 1km long, the cross-sectional scale according to the planning ensures 6 lanes for motor vehicles.
Tu Lien Bridge has a soft beauty. The formation of a bridge in the inner city across the Red River will contribute to reducing traffic congestion on routes from the inner city to the northern provinces, forming a third gateway next to Thang Long Bridge and Nhat Tan Bridge, from Noi Bai International Airport to the city center.
