On June 2, the National Closing and Award Ceremony of the 2024 ACP World Championship took place in Hanoi .
At the ceremony, 3 champions were named, becoming representatives of the Vietnam ACP Team at the World Finals of the competition, taking place in Anaheim (California, USA) at the end of July.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also honored and awarded prizes to 3 second prize winners, 3 third prize winners, 6 consolation prize winners and other outstanding individuals and groups.
ACP World Championship is a graphic design competition held annually across the country.
In the 2024 season, the competition continues to be co-organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , IIG Vietnam Education Organization, and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
This year, the number of teams participating in the competition has nearly doubled compared to last year.
At the end of the national qualifying round, 186 candidates (accounting for nearly 77% of the total number of young people taking the exam) achieved 700 points or more, qualifying for the international ACP certificate.
Notably, among these, there are many candidates of junior high school age.
At the National Finals of the competition, 15 outstanding candidates competed in designs with the theme "Youth Volunteers for the Community."
According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the works vividly and clearly conveyed the message about the role and responsibility of youth in volunteer work for the community; bringing a fresh perspective on youth's strength, aspirations to build the homeland, and develop society more and more sustainably.
In the end, the three best faces of each group became the national champions of the competition, including: Le Trang Anh (Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology), Nguyen Dinh Kien Dat (Hanoi Industrial Vocational College), Mai Ngoc Linh (Chu Van An High School (Hanoi).
Speaking at the National Award Ceremony, Secretary of the Central Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Minh Triet said that throughout 7 seasons, the ACP World Graphic Design Championship has truly created opportunities for Vietnamese youth to perfect their IT application skills according to international standards and create a favorable momentum for future development with a globally prestigious professional certificate.
"The Central Youth Union Secretariat is very pleased that over the years, the competition has received the attention and participation of many students who love graphic design. Many students have represented Vietnam to participate and won high prizes, registering in the international arena, thereby affirming to international friends the capacity, intelligence and strong rise of Vietnamese youth. This is a great encouragement for students on the path to conquering competitions that require great creativity," emphasized Central Youth Union Secretary Nguyen Minh Triet.
The ACP World Championship is organized annually by Certiport Corporation (USA) to search for and honor leading design experts using Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign) since 2013.
In Vietnam, 2024 is the 7th season of the competition successfully organized with the coordination of IIG Vietnam Education Organization - National representative of Certiport, Central Youth Union and Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
After six seasons of participating in the world finals, the Vietnam ACP Team has achieved many outstanding achievements in the international arena with 1 Bronze Medal, 2 World Audience Awards and 3 contestants in the Top 10 best in the world./.
