Vinh Long allocates 35 billion VND to support people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

With the agreement of the Standing Committee of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, the Relief Mobilization Committee (Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province) decided to disburse 35 billion VND from the Provincial Relief Mobilization Fund to support 21 provinces and cities to overcome the damage caused by storms No. 10, 11, 12, 13 and floods.

According to the allocation, 15 localities including: Lang Son, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh , Son La, Quang Tri, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Hung Yen, Nghe An and Da Nang will be supported with 1 billion VND/locality. In particular, Son La province proposed to transfer this support to localities with more severe damage to help people stabilize their lives soon.

Quang Ngai province and Hue city are supported with 2 billion VND/locality; Dak Lak, Gia Lai , Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa provinces are supported with 4 billion VND/locality.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee also agreed to transfer more than 3.9 billion VND and the remaining amount received at the State Treasury of Region XIX to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee to allocate general support to provinces severely damaged by natural disasters.

Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long Province Nguyen Thi Tuan Thanh said that since October, consecutive storms and floods have caused heavy losses in human lives and property in many localities in the Northern, North Central, Central and Central Highlands regions. From October 6 to November 22, the Relief Mobilization Committee of Vinh Long Province received a total amount of nearly 49 billion VND from organizations and individuals to support people affected by storm No. 10.

In recent days, storms and floods have caused serious damage in the provinces of the Central and Central Highlands regions; especially the provinces and cities of Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai and Da Nang. People in these localities are in dire need of the whole society's help and support to quickly overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.

With the spirit of "mutual love" and "sharing food and clothes", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province continues to call on agencies, businesses, organizations and individuals in the area to continue joining hands to support people in disaster-hit areas, contributing to helping people overcome difficulties and rebuild production.

After nearly a week of launching, the Relief Mobilization Committee has received over 2 billion VND from contributions from many organizations and individuals.

Previously, in October 2025, the Vinh Long Provincial Relief Committee allocated 10 billion VND to support 12 localities heavily affected by storms No. 10 and 11. Of which, 8 provinces: Lang Son, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Thanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh received 1 billion VND/province; 4 provinces: Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang and Hung Yen received 500 million VND/province.
