
At the end of the morning session on December 1, VN-Index increased by 9.29 points to 1,700.28 points. Liquidity was over 293.5 million shares, equivalent to over VND9,067.5 billion. The entire floor recorded 132 stocks increasing, 152 stocks decreasing and 62 stocks remaining unchanged.
On the HNX floor, selling pressure caused the HNX-Index to fall 0.83 points to 259.08 points with liquidity reaching more than 22.2 million shares, equivalent to 413.8 billion VND. The UPCOM floor performed more positively when the UPCOM-Index increased 0.35 points to 119.33 points, with trading volume reaching more than 14 million units, equivalent to 223.3 billion VND.
The VN30 group continued to be the focus with 14 stocks increasing, 11 stocks decreasing and 5 stocks remaining unchanged. VIC stock attracted a large cash flow, increasing by 2.84%. SAB also attracted attention with a strong increase of 5.71%.
It is worth mentioning that SAB's positive developments took place in the context of a fire that broke out at the Hanoi Beer Factory on Hoang Hoa Tham Street (Hanoi) on the morning of December 1.
The fire was brought under control at around 7:30 a.m., causing no casualties; the cause is under investigation. BHN shares of Hanoi Beer – Alcohol – Beverage Corporation fell 1.29% in the morning session.
Besides, many other large-cap stocks such as MSN, VHM, VNM, VJC, FPT, GAS, PLX,SHB , VRE… simultaneously kept green, actively supporting the market.
Banking stocks traded mixed, with green and red intertwined among the codes. In the real estate group, many small and medium-cap stocks were under pressure to correct. Meanwhile, the securities group performed less positively, with most codes sinking in red.
The overall market shows a clear differentiation between industry groups, while cash flow still prioritizes flowing into leading stocks and large-cap stocks. With the VN-Index surpassing the 1,700-point mark early this month, investors are expecting a new uptrend for the index in the coming time.
