Visa and VNPT-Media sign strategic cooperation to promote digital transformation and financial inclusion in Vietnam

As the key unit of VNPT Group in the national digital transformation strategy, VNPT-Media has been providing the entire infrastructure and ecosystem of digital financial services associated with the digital services that VNPT Group provides to the market, including the ecosystem of e-government services, typically the National Public Service Payment Portal, the national database on population; infrastructure of smart city services ranging from smart transportation, healthcare, education to public utility services and for people; ecosystem of digital services for individual customers and households, such as MyTV Pay TV service, electronic invoices, SmartCA digital signature,...

Visa and VNPT-Media will focus on key areas, providing advanced digital payment solutions by integrating Visa's leading technologies, Pay by Wallet payment solutions and Unified Commerce Solutions (Cybersource) into the VNPT Money digital financial ecosystem. This combination will open up new payment methods, enhancing seamless and secure transaction experiences for both merchants and consumers. In particular, this strategic cooperation also provides a personal financial solution for VNPT customers to easily access digital financial services and cross-border payments.

Visa and VNPT-Media signed a strategic cooperation agreement to promote digital transformation and financial inclusion in Vietnam.

In addition, within the framework of this strategic cooperation, Visa and VNPT-Media will coordinate to develop innovative payment strategies, in line with Vietnam's national digital infrastructure planning until 2030. In particular, the application of Visa Government Solutions will help increase transparency, security and efficiency in public sector transactions, meeting the specific needs of government activities.

The partnership between Visa and VNPT-Media also focuses on supporting the digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMBs). By exploiting data insights to build alternative credit risk scoring mechanisms, Visa and VNPT-Media will help SMBs easily access capital. This initiative is expected to encourage financial institutions to expand funding opportunities, thereby empowering SMBs to grow and contribute to economic growth.
